can someone tell me where exactly to put the DOWNDATER folder? besides the root folder??

in the root which is the start of the memory stick. just open the drive from my computer and place it in the first folder. in my case its I:\ so once copied id have a I:\downgrader folder

A new version featuring 2.50/2.60 fw revision autocheck coded by yoshi (who added the auto check code) is currently beeing tested, it might be released shortly (or might not if the test fails)

yea it isnt that hard to dwnload the correct one. a autocheck one would be good though, especially if other security measures were added.... it would in fact be perfect then

Great stuff Dark Alex and co. Works great! Stock 2.5 > 1.5.
Funny thing though. I had a 2.5 HK PSP and i used the 1.5 helper on a 1.5 AUS PSP which was downgraded using MPHdowngrader (US 1.5 FW).
I assumed this would install the US 1.5 FW on the new PSP but when it finished, O was still my select button.
Any ideas?
Please add some kind of visual feedback of the downgrade process.
It shouln't be that hard to copy/paste some code (lookup the hello world exploit stuff) to do simple text output or draw stuff to vram (for sure not for mathieulh or yoshi)...
Asides, why is it called downdater and not downgrader?
EDIT: Just noted the source is included in the download.

I took the risk and done with a 32mb stick and it worked fine

Downloaded the latest Downdater. The final version. The DOWNDATER FINAL AUTO EBOOT is in PSP/GAME folder but I dont know what to do with the src folder. Could some one clear this up for me please.
My PsP was a factory 2.50 PsP and upgraded to 2.60 to play Socom.
It is not a a TA-082 but when I open the UMD slot I can read IC1006 on the left hand side and not on the right.
But I assume my PsP is downgrade save.
