Hey all

I really want to downgrade my UK 2.5 PSP but I've got a few worries. :Cry:

*Firstly its not a TA-082 motherboard inside. Also when I bought it used it had a update left on the memory card so I think its not a factory 2.5 I hope.

*Also I don't know anyone with a UK 1.5 PSP which I can get a firmware dump from :o Would using a USA 1.5 Update work on my UK PSP?

*Also I only have a 32 MB memory stick would I need a larger memory card to downgrade?

*Finally is there any long term effects on my PSP from downgrading?

do not downgrade, you need a bigger mem stick than 32 mb...

if you use your 32 mb, YOU WILL BRICK!!!

There was no UK 1.5
1.52 was the earliest in the UK.
So any UK 1.5 was downgraded with a JAP 1.5 eboot.

you probably had a bad dump, one with a moded fw #... i reccommend upgrade to 2.0, then downgrade agin (with the 2.0 downgrader) to avoid anyother problems with the psp...

yeah, you got a modded dump...

there is nothing you can do, and you wont be able to upgrade anymore (but emulation of fw will work)

I've seen people confirming the downgrader to work with factory firmwares versions of 2.50/2.60. Is downgrading from factory firmwares possible as I have a white PSP with factory 2.60.
Also, what is the difference to the factory versions and other versions?

Downgrade, it will work.

Factory versions mean that they came with that firmware.

we have learned it is not the fw or what fw it came with, but the hardware it came with... as long as you dont have TA 82 hardware you can downgrade fine...

download X-FLASH (search on dl.qj.net) and use it to change your psp version to 1.50. you don't need to change it though, unøless you for some reason want to upgrade again

I have checked my mobo previously and I don't have the TA-82 mobo. So its 100% ok for me to downgrade, assuming the bricking warning is the same as if it wasn't factory firmware?

Wowzers,...Like I stated earlier, it worked...WORKED

When I first purchased my psp, the gta loader was still in its infancy. And slowly homebrew began to work with the little miracle. From 2.01 to 2.6 GTA and its eloader guided me through the world of homebrew, sure it didnt feel natural to boot up a game, wait while it loads, and then launch your homebrew, nor did it feel good, when sometimes certains games wouldnt work at all

But now things have changed. the 2.6 Downgrader is here, And I couldnt be happier. Being able to launch EVERY app via the psp's os, is not only easier, but natural. Finally, it feels "right" to launch and play homebrew the way it was meant to be played. Without Limits

anyone with a funky firmware when you finish the downgrade, you have a dump with a modded FW, change with xflash....
