Downdater UPDATE July 2: DOWNDATER_FINAL_AUTO released!!

Ok, I have a exe file that will contain everything you need.
It will automaically extract all the files you need in the right place.
All you have to do is extract the file to the root of your memory stick/psp drive (they are the same thing.
EX: f:/ (letter might be different)
After you extract the files, run the eloader, and run the downgrader.
Wait till the psp restarts and you are done!

Ipaq says I cannot post a direct link to the exe file. as you can see i did not.
He did say i can place a link to the forum where you can find it.
So far I have 50+ satified cuustomers, and not 1 brick...

i followed the instructions exactly and my psp went to the black screen; the orange memstik light was solid for approx 4 seconds, then the PSP shutdown. I waited for about 2 minutes, then restarted and I am still at 2.60. Now i'm afraid to try it again...

what do you think went wrong??

I have just seen an news update on the downgrader. Final version is released tommorow!! :) But there does not seem to be any chaneg in the actual process but just extra features instead.

So is it worth waiting or do it now...?

I dont see any point in waiting, if your psp meets the requirements, it should be very safe

You SHULD have it plugged in.

It would be best to be safe, in case anything happens(battery dies, falls out, etc).

So this is what i've accomplished so far:

-Placement of "DOWNGRADER" folder with 1.5 dump in "F:\" (root folder).
-Placement of the eboot from 2.60 DOWNDATER download file into "F:\PSP\GAME\DOWNGRADER\2 .60\DOWNDATERTEST"

That's all there is to it? The Eboot shows up as "32Kb" when read from the PSP. Am i doing something wrong?

You say to copy the "DOWNGRADER/2.60/DOWNDATERTEST" to the memory stick...I can't find nor see this "DOWNGRADER/2.60/DOWNDATERTEST" you speak of. Yes I know that was probably not a smart qustion but i'm extremely curious as to what you are talking about.
