I just wanted to thank all the people involved in making this possible offcourse Dark_AleX/Mathieulh/Yoshihiro but also the testers and the people here. I have now already downgraded a few times using MPH and the 2.5/2.6 and it works like a charm everytime. Am still amazed when i see it happening. Thanx again all ^__^ Me is a happy 1.5 user. Haven't downgraded to 1.0 yet, as im new i have no reason yet to do so. Except i read u can run unsigned Eboot's.

No, you need GTA to preform the downdate.
it feels like i made it, but it says i have version 13.37
is this ok?
edit : im able to play homebrew without using any loaders
but theres a lot of glitchy stuff, like the network update, the topmost
option of the sttings section being labeled 'disabled' , not being able to
escape homebrew games by using the home button, so i decided to
upgrade to 2.0 then downgrade again.. but i cant upgrade to 2.0!
it says i have a higher version. i can run homebrew tho
I have upgraded more then once from 1.5 to 2.0 to 2.5 and back to 1.5. And have used the MPHDowngrader to get from 2.0 to 1.5 and it works like a charm. ALtough i guess i almost bricke dmy psp few times :) But i was lucky, the good thing is that i now know both downgraders and how they work.
PS.
Jorde yes u do need GTA:LCS, best would be a used copy. You can always check for the Uless if you buy it new or used.
you have a modified 1.5 dump.. you can manually change the version fo the firmware with a prog (forgot the name tho) so they changed it to 1337 -> leet.. nerds! :PZitat:

x flash u need and press circle on the 13.37 firmware spoof option to bring back to 1.5

I must be one of the only people left on 2.6 who hasn't downgraded yet :D But I'm getting a bigger memstick in a few days then I'll try it.
Now for two of the stupidest questions you'll ever read in your life, not because I'm a noob with my PSP, but because I'm a wimp :D Yup, I'm scared this thing could brick my PSP even though hundreds of people have used it and it's worked fine. So then...
1. I'm buying a Sandisk 512MB gaming edition memstick (the sort of clear yellow one). Is this stick OK to use? (very stupid question :D)
And finally...
2. My friend successfully downgraded yesterday, he bought his PSP on the same day as me (European Launchday). So, if I follow the exact steps he did when he downgraded, whats the chance of it working? 50-50? Or higher? I know theres a poll with 90% success but like some people say, most of the people who bricked their PSPs probably had 2.7 or a TA-082 motherboard.

Ok guys, i need some help here, i have allready downdated my own jap white 2.6 psp, now i want to downdate my friends!
I tried everything, going to n00bz IRC channel and posting on psphacks forums... all people say is make sure your files are in the right folder.... well im using the easy donwndater so there should be nuffin to worry about :S
Im downdating my friends PSP, its a black US psp, i think he said it was orignally 2.0, and now its upgraded to 2.6.
Im using the Easy downdater, which includes all the files and eloader crap, the GTA is a old version (got it when it first came out in the UK)
My problem is, when i run eloader via GTA eloader screens comes up, but there is no file named "DowndaterTest" there so the PSP takes me back to the main PSP menu (where you put it on USB mode etc...)
So i think that the eloade cant detect the homebrew, and yes i have DOWNDATERTEST in psp/game and within the folder i got "EBOOT.PBP"
Please help me out here, my friend really wants to play nice games for free.

It's an .exe that copies all the info on your mem stick, gives you a visual walkthrough and works. I downgraded two PSPs with it :)

all firmwares below 2.5 are blacklisted meaning if these firmwares are installed you will have an automatic brick which is what sony wants as you will send ur psp back and you will get a shiny new 2.71!!!!
Can the 1.5 image be patched to be classed as 2.5? I am lucky and have a board that can be flashed and it worked fine. It would be cool if someone made a hacked 1.5 image for all those with the blacklisted boards. Maybe it's not that simple, but it's noobatron idea I had.
I found the 1.5 dump but what do i do with it? Do i put it in the root directory. Doesn't that have to be the "DOWNGRADER" folder.
I have a psp 1007 (Taiwan version), will this work on my psp. And which downgrader would be advisable the Full Easy Downgrader or the manual way with Eloader0.97_no_cache.
