i have one file called dl.rar that is for the downgrader do I just run that with the eLoader and just wait for my psp to be a 1.5? I already have the 1.5 helper files.

Hey guys, I've been reading through the thread and I've got 2 questions;
If you buy a Core Pack with the factory 2.50/2.60 firmware without the TA-082 mobo will it work?
Also, if you buy the PSP and they give you the 15 refund policy thing, and you try to downgrade in the first day or two, and you brick it, will the retail store take it back and give you a new one?:) lol

i think there will be no factory 2.5/2.6 and TA-079/TA-081

I've been reading some threads/posts that say that this works with factory 2.50/2.60 as long as it's not a TA-082.. kinda confused, sorry!
yes it will work with TA-079/TA-081
but i think all factory 2.5/2.6 are TA-082 (or the shop updated the psp)
So I should stay away from buying a 2.50/2.60 firmware PSP right?
They don't sell value packs anymore over here, so I don't have the option of not buying a Core Pack, and from what I've read most Core Packs are TA-082 and 2.5/2.6 firmware. :/ What would be the best thing to do? Take a chance with a 2.50/2.50 PSP core pack and return it a day or two after if it's a TA-082? Will they refund/exchange it?

Hi i'm new to the forum. I just recently got back into psp modding. Since my psp came 2.01 i didn't have a chance to downgrade and this downgrader will be a big help. Only problem, i don't have any friends with 1.5. I know i'm a newb or whatever but if anybody could please offer me some help in this sector. It would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to be a leach or anything i just would like some help. So please somebody help a man out.:spsp:
Distributing the 1.50 firware dumps or DOWNDATER folder is not allowed here unfortuantely. You should be able to find it through Google with relative ease.Zitat:

YAY! i have a 1.5 psp. homebrew here i come.
guys when i try to run the downgrader on the 1.50 psp it tells me "THE GAME COULD NOT BE STARTED (80020148)
You don't need a downgrader for 1.50 :Argh:
forget it i got it the psp wasnt 1.50 it was 1.52 i had to downgrade it to 1.50

1)I got my PSP back in January. It's difficult to see the ICB number for the mboard. It was a 2.0 when I got it. Think it will work to downgrade?
2)If it works to downgrade, will it be possible for someone with a 1.50 to contact me via AIM (fls hardcore) to hand me a file? Thanks!
if you did have a TA-082 motherboard, the numbers IC1003 should be seen easily in the top right of the UMD door
Since you got your PSP in january, and it was 2.0, it is very unlikely that it is TA-082, sou you should be good to go with the downgrader. Just make sure you have an unpatched version of GTA in order to run the eloader
Cant help you with the files though... perhaps some googling of an easy installer would help?

It worked, I can't believe it actually worked! I was really scared that I would brick my PSP, especially when it crashed after the downgrading but I just forgot to restart. :D

Could some kind person please answer this psp newbies questions please - admittedly some might be dense so bare with me.
1) My new white PSP is an "I" model according to the box - 2.6 firmware but I can't see any writing on the top right under the umd door. I can see some writing under the left side (not enough to make out what it says). Judging from what I've read here it's ok to downgrade? Just want to confirm that.
2) I'm going to use a friends 1.5 psp to get the unavailable files which can't be hosted here. However he got his psp in China and mine is European, will this be a problem?
3) I down loaded downdater final auto and I've read the instructions yet I can't find "DOWNGRADER/2.60/DOWNDATERTEST" within the extracted rar file. I realise this is probably me being dumb so please humour me coz I'm clueless right now.
4) Why does the psp have to be connected to the AC adapter before using eloader? Just curious.
5) Can I use the original 32mb memory stick supplied with the PSP value pack? Do I need to delete saves if so?
I've ordered a sandisc 1gb memory stick, should I use that instead? Does it not really matter?

How can you make sure that there is no TA-82 hardware in your PSP?
I bought my PSP yesterday.
OK, I have a 2.6 with a 2 GB card, i've downloaded all the neccessary files, and installed them as per the instructions. When I run GTA and load the Fanjita's Eloader, I get kicked out of the game. Anybody had this problem yet? I'm getting frustrated to say the least. I followed the instructions to the letter and it still wont work. Obviously, i've screwed up somewhere. Help!
i never had that problem, are you sure everything's installed properly?
OK, new problem. I went aheah and installed the Bock Eloader thinking that that was the cause of my issues. I got the eloader to run and everything seemed fine but now I get a "Cant read disk" Error and my PSP is still a 2.6. How the heck can I run the eloader if the drive can't read GTA? Help part duo!
try turning it off for 5 mins then back on
Thanks man, i'll give that a try. Here's a question though, Do you think I could run the fully automated version of the downgrader now and downgrade my 2.6 without bricking it?

Nevermind. I already know the answer to my last question. I'm now the proud owner of a black shiny brick. So, how do I go about getting this one fixed? I already checked out the PSP web site but I didn't find any info of repairing PSP's.
did you get the downdater files from a 1.5 because the downdater auto final that you can download here does not include them. And send your psp back in to sony and hopefully they will fix it.Zitat:

just run a search for downdater auto final full and then it installs all the files to your psp. Works like a charm
I have verison 2.50, and im so lost. Im unsure of which files I need to download.
I downloaded a file called "DOWNDATER_FINAL_AUTO " but I couldnt find the folder "DOWNGRADER/2.50/DOWNDATERTEST" as mentioned in step 1.
Also I dont understand step 2 "Wait someone with 1.50 to pass you a folder called DOWNDATER and copy it to the root of your memstick."
How do I downgrade my 2.50 to 1.50, if you can help I appreciate it.
