Downdater UPDATE July 2: DOWNDATER_FINAL_AUTO released!!

You're doing this with a reformatted 32 mb right and the only things you have are the 3 needed things (Dump files, downgrader and eLoader)?

If so, you're set, that is how I did it. I don't remember exactly how much memory I had left on my 32 mb stick though but I successfully downgraded.

I would suggest using DOWNDATE FINAL as it does not make logfiels that take up space on your memorystick.

That is the one that I am using, but I think it makes logs anyway, and I am really scared of bricking, so should I just get a bigger stick to be safe?

Yep, that's all I've got. The total capacity in Windows explorer reads it as 30.9 MB.

I downgraded with the beta, and right now that I checked my 32 mb stick, I still have 9872 kb left with everything included (dumpfiles, eloader, downgrader and logs). So I'm pretty sure you're good.

You know what? I'm really nervious with this thing and I just don't think I can go through with it right now. I would first need to find out how much free space is left with someone who used the FInal version of the downgrader, plus i have a bunch of other questions to ask. my hands are shakin real bad sry, i'll try this later, or never, I think i might have to get a bigger memory stick before I tackle this beast :humped:

If you're using the final version then you have even better chances of success. Just go for it. Well that is your choice after all.

Wow you're playing it extremely safe. This is the safest the downgrader will be. It is the "Final" version. But hey, no one can make you downgrade. Even if you've got it perfectly set up...

But I read on the DCEMU.CO.UK forums about a few users who did everything right, did NOT have the ta-082 mobo and they still got bricked. Something like that is what I am worried about.

They must have done something wrong. You already have a few people here who have downgraded successfully telling you that you've got it made, you just have to hit the X.

Hooray~~~! I'm another 1.5 PSP now!! Mine is Factory White 2.5 firmware which has IC6001 code on the other side. And i downgraded successfully now!!

There is still a wide library of playable legit PSP games that do not require a firmware update. For PSP games that require firmware up to 2.50, you can use devhook to emulate it, and play UMDs.

ok, i know i've asked this before but...

Can a factory supplied 2.6 fw PSP be downgraded? Its not a TA-082 because it doesnt have the text on the PCB.
Has anyone with a factory supplied 2.6fw PSP been sucsessful in downgrading?
In the instructions found here it says 'Wait someone with 1.50 to pass you a folder called DOWNDATER and copy it to the root of your memstick' I have a 1.5fw PSP sitting in front of me (my mates) & it doesnt have any folder called downdater on it... whats that all about.
