I downgraded a friend's 2.60 and worked just fine :tup:
yep just downgraded my bros brand new white psp it just got even sexier
i managed to downgrade 2 2.6 psps :D but one of them come with 2.5 fimware then upgraded to 2.6 but it still worked fine but i was shaking like mad just in case it didnt work
i just downgraded another psp cuz i also had my first brick. o forgo tto update to 2.0 then go back down before using theme
I've got an originally 1.5 PSP that's 2.6 now. When I run the Dark Alex downgrader, it doesn't do anything: I run GTA and it just loads my regular save point. Is this because it's a new game, and I have to find an older edition? I just bought it today for this purpose.
You need an unpatched version of GTA.
you may have gotten lucky and bought an unpatched version. Check on the xmb if it has a 2.6 update or 2.0 if it is 2.6 you are screwed.
1.5 to 2.00 to 2.5 to 2.6 to 1.50 then 2.71devhook

How can I run eLoader if I am running GTA? Sorry for being such a noob on this one
because GTA is the game you need to initiate the eloader....
0)set up the downgrader and place files correctly
1)go to http://noobz.eu
2)check your psp is not a Ta-082
3)if not download the eloader (superbock)
4)once installed launch gta umd (and make sure it requires a 2.00 update not 2.60)
5)once the game is fully loaded,press start and click on load game
6)click on the gamesave which has a picture saying eloader or bock
7)after about 10seconds the eloader should appear,if you havent put any homebrew in your GAME folder the psp will just exit or crash
8)if you want to downgrade click the writing called downdate or downdate test 0.5 or whatever (plug in ac adaptor)
9)the screen will then go black this is ok (DO NOT PRESS ANYTHING OR TURN THE POWER OFF OR UNPLUG THE BATTERY WHILE THE SCREEN IS BLACK)
10)after about 2mins 30secs your psp will shut off or restart (if it shut off turn it on (you will know when its shut off because the memorystick wont have been flashing at all for about 2mins
11)Your psp is either a 1.50 or a £180/$200 paper weight

I manage to downgrade mine....BUT, when this dude and I tried downgrading this dude I know PSP, it didn't work. Now we have to pay him back..

i have downgraded my fiends 2.6 psp sucessfully nd now my friend updated my psp from a 1.5 to a 2.6 so i have to downgrade mine
I sucessfully downgraded my friends 2.60 (factory 2.00 non-ta082) to 1.50. Its now an identical copy to mine (without the portable TV lol).

i took the plunge. i have to say that i'm impressed. yet another point to add to the "successful downgrade from 2.6" tally.
the funny thing though is that now i have no clue how to utilize my 1.5 psp. i've been using 2.6 firmware for so long that the only thing i know about is eloader-related stuff.
so yeah i was stumped to figure out what to do with my psp. in any case though, after a successful downgrade i drank a "Victory Soda" (coca cola Zero is pretty good). :)
can someone help me with downgrading...i put the eboot file in my game folder but i cant see it...then i see that i need eloader but it replaces the current file. what do i do to see the files so i can downgradE?!?!
The eloader is a save file for GTA. The eboot for downgrading needs to be in a folder. I believe the name that the folder is required to be is found in the readme.

My mates PSP had 2.01 so I upgraded it to 2.71 took the plunge and used Downdater/Downgrader 2.71 Full by Dark Alex ...
After clearing up the mess I made prior to finishing I must say I'm impressed ...
Thanks Dark Alex for your knowledge and genius ... it made it very easy ...
On a different note (and should be in the right forum)
Is there a reason why everybody who has a PSP with firmware 2.01 (and above) dosen't just upgrade to 2.71 so that we are all at a similar stage with our PSPs? This might avoid a lot of confusion with ppl having problems ... as I read it those PSPs are inferior unless you have a proper 1.50 ...

ok so i tryed the psp downgrader. i have a 2.6 right now and before i did the downgrade i deleted all of the files from my psp manually. i then got my friend to give me the downdater files i then started the lightversion program and i put it the downdater folder into F:\PSP after that i put in my gta umd and started it up. all was well untill i got to the program where i pick the downdate test, but that was the only thing in the list, is there supposed to be anything else if i cleaned out my memory stick before i ran the program? i tryed it anyways and it looked like it was working but a second later it said canot read disc and now i still have a 2.6 psp. i dont really want to try it untill i get some help so if anyone could help it would be greatly appereciated

YES!!!! i went on to xtrusion website and got the full version and now i have a 1.5 W00T!!!! its alot easyer than the light. Its in spanish but if you went threw the light and still had a 2.6 like i did its easy going threw the spanish version.

J/k. Just dropped in to say that my vote is now invalid, since i bricked a friends psp downgrading yesterday. Now i've suceeded once and missed out once.
I don't know whats more painful; The birck or the Irony, since i promised him i'd downgrade it...
