That theme is gorgeous!
I'm making a beatmania IIDX DistorteD theme:

I got really mad when I realized I could not move the position of the song banners when they appear on the screen so, Ill have to come up with an entirely new layout and keep the song banners in the same exact boring position.
Haha, I had the same exact problem. I had it all set up, and thought I could move the banner + BPM around in the metrics, until i actually started editing them... which is why the BPM+Stage are placed oddly right now
I just downloaded it. Nice concept, and I see what you're talking about. =/
I can give you some advice (and point out a few obvious bugs), but don't take it like a request, rather, as a suggestion. I know this is a prototype, but I believe a little user input always helps.
-The loading bar is really wacky. The bar runs all over the place. @_@
-The score rating images (AA, A, B, C, D, etc) look very nice, but the reflection pushes the rest of the image to the top of the screen. You should probably crop the reflection image a little, so the actual score is the focus of the image.
-A little minor, but the arrows flying through a score bar at the top during gameplay start a little too far to the left.
-Obviously, the song select layout is in need of reordering. >_>
-From the looks of the prototype song select screen, even if it did work, the song difficulty feet aren't going to fit into the box they're apparently supposed to fit into. In addition, PSPR seems to only display up to 14 feet at a time; putting 15 in there wouldn't be effective, as not song would ever be displayed as a 15. I have Death Moon Edit as a test, still stops at 14 difficulty, no matter how many difficulty feet I display, and DME is somewhere in the 20-30s in difficulty. Maybe you're intending to work on custom difficulty images? I guess so. :P
-On the options screen, is "THEMEMS" intended? o_O
-Obviously, there is a need for a custom song results screen. >_>
-Obviously, custom arrows. >_>
-Maybe you could resize the size of the numbers displayed on the combo counter? The words and such don't appear to fit with the small numbers.
-The "Hold to Exit" image could possibly be centered on the screen.
-I'm a little confused on the "XX%" you gave on the score rating images. Like A = 80%, AAA = 100%? Technically, those numbers aren't accurate (Technically, an AAAA would be 100%), and won't make much sense to people. Maybe the number can be done away with, in favor of a comment ("Good job!", "Need some practice...", "Outstanding!", etc...)?
I know some the feedback is a little obvious. >_>
Other than the stuff bad about it, I love the menu sounds, and I've personally dropped my current custom hit text (Marvelous, Perfect, Great, etc.) in favor of these. They're nice and simple, and are fairly easy to incorporate into my current custom theme.
Keep up the good work. I'd definitely use the final product. :)
And, what's going on with the other theme creators? Any updates, possibly?
-Yes, the loading bar is crazy Ill be fixing that, need to come up with a new one.Originally Posted by KiteDXX

-Yeah, I realized the arrows were off on the left side, not only that if you look closely, you can see its a bit off when it reaches the right portion of the health bar as well, I might change the animation to something else.
-The song layout got me very frustrated because after an hour or so of graphics work in PhotoShop I then realized after I was done that I could not move the song banner, nor the bpm and stage. The song layout will be completely changed, it will be re-designed from top to bottom.
-The PSP Revolution developers need to add at least an extra foot to the rating system, thats what StepMania's maximum is but, as you already know songs can be modified in notepad to have even larger foot ratings.
-I think I will be using a different font and background for the options screen, which is the reason why its so incomplete. This screen might also be completely redesigned.
-Yes, custom song results screen will be in the next release, which will be "System Value 2"
-Im not sure yet about this, Im getting very tired of arrows, and I want to do something original. I would really like to use a custom made version of a BeatMania noteskin, my idea is have a BeatMania noteskin, but give it colors for example like the noteskin "Note+", but not only that make it much shinier and much more appealing to people then the regular "Note+" and BeatMania noteskins. Plus the original PSP Revolution noteskin is extremely off from the true colors of the arrows, in terms of type of note, 4th-8th-16th-24th ect.
-For the combo counter Ill try something larger.
-"Hold to Exit" if I just center it, will look bad because PSP Revolution only reads the numbers in a certain location of the image, so if I just centered the word "Exit" the numbered count down will be extremely far apart.
-There is no AAAA in PSP Revolution only in StepMania, maybe if the PSP Revolution developers fix it I might fix it, and the "XX%" was inspired by one of my good friends "Zehk," if you've been around the the StepMania community for a while you should know why its there, its meant to represent one of his themes hes made for StepMania, Trance Machine, I think i might do away with the % due to the fact that I don't like how it looks.
Hope this addresses all the aspects of you concerns and advice. One thing for sure is that the PSP Revolution developers need to give themers a lot more freedom, themeing for PSP Revolution is very limited and frustrating at times. I really don't see why I should continue until I get a bit more freedom in future updates, but last time PSP Revolution was updated, it took almost a year so I will continue.

Hey guys I'm working on A theme and I'm wondering how do I make the Background of something transparent? (I only gave GIMP)
Well, since the theming scene hasn't had a full, original theme in quite a while, and I personally wanted a new theme for myself, I've decided to stop waiting for others and make a theme myself.
I've completed the title screen and most of the song select screen already, and I ported some Stepmania arrows for myself, but I don't think I can release them without permission from the author, who's name was not found on that website. =/
It's called "Apocalypse 2", but StepmaniaThings (the place I downloaded it from) doesn't have the author's name.
They still look very nice when resized on the PSP screen, and I recolored the arrows to match the corresponding file name (Arrow_Red.png is a red arrow, etc.).
I'm wondering if it's okay to release the arrows... =/
Anyway, I got the screens of the title screen and song select screen, in action:
Title Screen. The stars in the background move across the sky.
Song Select screen. The main image is completed; the only thing left is the mods window, which can be done fairly easily.
Score Results screen. The fonts could be a little sharper though; I can fix that if I get a better font that looks sharp when small.
I'm not entirely sure if I will release the theme to the public yet, but I'll try and get a hold of the creator of the arrows I ported, and I'll work from there. :)

Glad to see some people still interested in new themes. I'll stick to this project, as it's not too far from completion.
However, I'm going to have some difficulty with a few elements:
-Menu sounds / music. I can't test .wav files and such effectively. As for music, I'm looking for a trance/space themed style of music.
-Hit text. It's driving me nuts trying to find something that looks good at ~19 pixels wide. =/
-Score screen numbers. I personally don't like the ones that are currently in the picture. I recolored the default ones to a light blue, which are both easier to read, and more polished. Once again, finding something nice and original that fits 10 numbers into a 100x10 canvas is pretty hard.
Menu graphics have been pretty easy for me, but these minor things are proving difficult to create. If anyone could provide some help, I'd greatly appreciate it. If you help me with something decently important, I can credit you by adding your name to the title screen as a credit. :)
By the way, school has been burning through my time as of late, since I had to miss a few days to attend family business, and now that I'm trying to make up all work (all make-up work is due by Monday, so it's a bit stressful) I need to finish before this project reaches my agenda. I'll be working on it whenever I can, and I'm slowly progressing toward the final product. The menus were incredibly quick to create (all three pictured images took about 4 hours, with planning and metrics configured), so I have a feeling this may be released soon, hopefully mid-May, or even sooner, if those elements I've stated above can be completed faster.
-updated difficulty image colors. Now Beginner is purple, Light is yellow, Medium is red, Heavy is sky blue, and Oni is white. In the picture posted before, the Oni image was a fairly dark gray.
Just something I'd like to point out regarding the theme; at the song select menu, the banner mask will cut about six pixels from each side of the banner away, as that blue border around the banner is six pixels thick all around. While I would resize the box so the banner fits a little better, it looks less polished, and doesn't allow much room to work with the BPM/Stage number area. I've tried doing what I did with the score results screen for the banner, but it doesn't look good, in my opinion.
It won't be very annoying, but banners with important focuses around those boundaries will be chopped.
maybe the creator of this thread could compile the themes in the first post. quite confusing browsing every post in the thread to find links.
PSP For Life l God Help Us All
(Hopefully, people will see this edit. It hasn't been posted in for a couple of days. Is it okay to double post for a "bump" of sorts? Just to be safe. >_>)
Theme is now complete!!!
Download it from the link provided at the end of this post.
Here's what I have completed so far:
TITLE - COMPLETE
-Background (with animation)
-Possible additional text (credits, if any are needed)
SONG SELECT - COMPLETE
IN-GAME - COMPLETE
-Arrows (Apocalypse 2, but I might need author permission to release them.)
-Gradients on the score bar
-Default background (when there is no background for the song)
-Custom "Hold to Exit"
SONG RESULTS - COMPLETE
-Score letters (May need revision)
OPTIONS - COMPLETE
-(Default menu names. (Themes, How to Play, Options, etc.) I may create custom ones in the future, but they're going to be released as-is.)
-(Default "How to Play" pop-ups. Once again, may be custom in the future.)
OTHER - COMPLETE
-Menu click sounds
If there are any errors you find in the theme, please inform me, preferably via PM. I provided my e-mail in the readme.
There have been a lot of changes since the beta previews. I believe they were all for the better result. :)
In addition, I know some graphics (namely the hit text) aren't the best, but space is a big issue; with little space to work in, it's hard to produce quality images. That's why my larger images always seem to turn out better. >_>

That theme is cool. Blues my fav. color, and DDR is one of my fav games, so its a perfect combination. Great theme. The Freeze arrows look cool, and the arrows look like diamonds. What more could I ask for? Thanks for the theme.
