Is this true? And can the TA-082ers have 100% homebrew!?!?!?

i saw this and i dont understand it because only update eboots have data.psar files in them so im guessing it means data.psp.

A primitive homebrew program was made available to revert from 1.5 to 1.0, but this was only possible if the PSP was originally a 1.0 model, as the firmware dump required was unique to each PSP. In July 2006, a downgrader for 1.5 to 1.0 was released. As with the 2.5/2.6 downgrader, usage with a TA-82 PCB will brick the PSP.

i could tell you for a fact that any of this nonsense of switching files inside an eboot WILL NOT work. This was a hot topic back in the day prior to version 2.0 and kexploit had just come out enabling full homebrew on 1.5. Up until the 2.0 downgrader people on 1.51,2,2.0 were trying to do whatever it took (including swapping files inside eboot.pbp's) in order to have homebrew run.

noone was successful

TA-082 cannot run any firmware below 2.5, so don't bother.

Uh, wrong, the method DOES work, people on these forums have done it to get homebrew on 1.51.

And as TMK said, downgrading to 1.51 won't work because the TA-082 didn't just blacklist 1.5, it blacklisted anything below 2.5.

Can anyone PLEASE point me to some actual proof I can read and/or experiment with that alloys homebrew to run on 1.51?

Please don't give me the switch data.psar with 1.50 urban legend either.

before spouting any nonsense, please be mindful of the gullible people out there that will actually believe what you are saying. I'm sorry but I've been around since long before your "january 2006" and I was around for every last bit of experimentation with 1.51 eboots to run homebrew on it. If some breakthrough was discovered well after the MPH downgrader came out, then forgive me since noone cared about 1.51 when that already let you go down from 2.0 to 1.5. But since I'm right, why not prove me wrong with an actual source of it working.

Someone should just try it and end the debate once and for all.

if it does work and you can downgrade TA-082 to 1.51 and that doesn't run homebrew, can't they upgrade to 2.00 and then downgrade again to 1.50?

I agree, TMK deleted a lovely little reply to my post that he made.

Show me the proof and I'll shut up.

Are you expecting someone to update to 1.51 just to try this then upgrade to 2.0 then back to 1.5?

No, I'm expecting someone to show me proof of homebrew being run on a 1.51 PSP by solely switching the data.psar.

Some pics, maybe a vid, maybe even a thread, or maybe even a developer saying that it works.

How the heck will this be possible?

How is it even possible to downgrade a TA-082 mobo to 1.52 FW?

So even if you do get it to FW 1.52 somehow, wouldn't you be able to upgrade to 2.0 and then safely downgrade to 1.50 using the MPH downgrader?

Is there a future possibility that you could dl a downgrader that would allow you to downgrade TA-082 Mobo, just like the 2.60/2.50 to 1.50 possibility that is now reality....

I highly doubt it, but you will still likely get a kernel eloader or no kxploit type thing.

so is it possible to downgrade a 082 psp?

im joking ofcourse.

my question is; these must be hardware revisions right? so if thats the case, whats acctually changed to block any firmware below 2.5? if the flash deletes everything on flash0, then there must be something on the mainboard itself......

or am i talking ****?

That's what was said when someone asked for a 2.60/2.50 to 1.50 downgrader...I'm sure that there will be one in the future.

I thought you swapped the 1.52 data.psar with the 1.50 data.psar.

I dont know, I doubt it works anyways. Homebrew doesnt contain a psar file, so you cant swap with that.
