So why is GTA:LC so special that that is the only thing with the cheat device and **** you can load off of gta... please.. can someone help me... i just dont get why its different from any other game... and because someone stole GTALC and my FireTeam Bravo and a 512 mb memory stick.. it sucks i nkow.. but i just dont get why gta is so special

GTA has a flaw in the way it loads saved games that allows unsigned code to be run. It was originally discovered and exploited by edison carter in the cheat device and has turned into the current exploit

Uh, yeah. That's not what the savegame exploit was about.

In the GTA savegame, there are a series of information headers that dictate how the data is laid out in the file - where various pieces should begin, how big they should be, etc.

The exploit lay in the fact that it only allocated the amount of memory it was told to - i.e. if you said that a certain part should be 2KB, it would allocate 2KB, regardless of how big the actual part was. If the actual part was 4KB, you'd overflow the buffer with 2KB of data.

If you put executable code into a block of data that had a false header, some part of it could be executed. It all depended on what code you put in, where in the data it was, and which data section was being loaded.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the size of the savedata file. But if you still want to go that route, I can save you the trouble for Wipeout Pure - there's nothing exploitable there, and the filesize changes as you download more addon packs.

You should just rent a copy of GTA from blockbuster and flash it to 1.5 You would then only need it once for flashing and then you can run all your homebrew without it.

GTA is crap for my taste but i had to buy it to crack my 2 psp´s stucked on 2.01 since november of last year, worth the 65 euros i gave and it´s sold out on my entire city so i had to buy it on another city and with lucky i got the old and exploitable version, what´s speacial on this game ? it´s realy it´s saved game exploit that opened the doors for the hacks we have now, thanks to dedicated developers that joined efforts we´r having bunches of fun now after the long wait.
Laughing of Sony ? for sure, thinking when this war will end ...
