The term is 'coldboot'. The coldboot is located in a file called 'opening_plugin.rco'.

Yes. Thats why its called the coldboot. But the container for that file is the opening_plugin.rco file.

Why would Sony make an Xbox360 gameboot? Gameboot files made with the highly illegal UMD Tools aren't allowed here so the only gameboots we have are those ripped from PSP games, thus no 360 gameboot.

Dude - when I post and hit the "insert image" icon it asks for a URL. Is that where I would insert the upyoursfile adress? So I should'nt RAR it? I thought you had to to upload it. Toss me some hints man - I'm just trying to contribute bro.

If you want to host a picture on a site, use tinypic.com. Then insert that into the image url for the site. And dont worry about raring it either.

Can someone plz explain why I can't get the custom menu names to work?
My PSP is set to "English". I selected "english" in the creator pack. I input custom names. Patched file. Put in "folder I created" in PSP Theme. Flashed to my DevHook 2.71 firmware.The custom menu names aren't there, but the font is.
Also, there seems to be small white flashing boxes behind the web bowser & RSS feed icons. Is custom menu names not meant for DEVHOOK? Or could it be that the wallpaper is sized for 1.5 & I'm flashing it to 2.7? I did't have this prob. w/ my "Pirate" theme . But thats probably because I didn't use custom menu names. Thanks in advance for the info - this is a really exciting project for me.

Ok - I noticed all themes seem to leave those strange white flashing boxes behind the 1) RSS 2)Browser 3)Location Free Player -on DevHook 2.7 firmware.

I still haven't figured out the prob. w/ custom menu names - anybody in the know?

That problem is because of issues with the menu names. I get menu names to work fine, but because the menu name files are completely different, it causes that to corrupt.

O.K. Here's my Resident Evil 4 Theme. There are custom menu names. But they won't be seen on the screenshot b/c I'm not into custom firmwares, and PSPshot wont seem to boot XMB. I had to get a screenshot with DevHook.

Y are you not into custom firmware, when it can only help you? You can have it installed and have your psp act like its not even there.

I don't want to get too far off subject, But don't you have to go through the trouble of finding a "special" version of DevHook for custom firmwares? Who knows if these custom firmwares can eventually have some sort of adverse side effect on the PSP? I've flashed my PSP about 20 times & never bricked it; so I'm not all that enticed by a recovery mode. I hane Moonlights NoKxploit patcher so I can already run 1.0 eboots. I know how to hide currupt icons on 1.5 eboots by the old SCE renaming trick. My friend has a 1.5 now (finally!!!) and I don't know if a custom firmware could cause sync issues during multiplayer with a reg 1.5 PSP. It just seems custom firmware really has nothing to offer for me.

P.S. - what do you think of the new RE 4 theme I just posted?

Anyways, debating the removal of ex0r's theme. Though he did take Pochi's December background, he did build upon it and the rest of the theme was made by him. I think for now I'm just going to credit Pochi for the background next to the download link.

I wanna make a theme and the main site is down, so I can't download the theme creator. As soon as it's up I'll get right on top of making a theme, possibly a Gunz theme to appease the other 1-2 Gunz players on this forum (PM me for my in-game name <_<). But if that doesn't work out I have a few other ideas to **** around with.

I would include a custom gameboot I've already made if I went with a Gunz theme, but since it was made using the leaked Sony tools, I can't post it here . And I need to find something to edit avi's, or convert them to wmv to I can edit them in Windows Movie Maker
