Updated ThemePSP Thread

Lets go through the steps of your theme now:

1. Resized screenshot you got online.

2. Downloaded/recorded sound file then cut out chunks until it fit (Well, almost fit.)

3. Googled 'metal gear solid fonts'.

4. Downloaded menu names from someone else's theme.

5. WinRAR to finish it up.

Now lets not continue this pointless troll war. Its not really going anywhere.

#1 screenshot was taken by me, not acquired online
#2 audio was recorded by me (both of which were done for a different project, recently...not theming
#3 yeah the fonts were from SSGS because he did a damn good job on them
#4 borrowed menus until I did my own just so you could check the theme type.

you totally misunderstood the point of my uploading the package. It was not a "omg, look how 1337 i am". It was a "check this out, with your current stuff...it could be cool". I was offering you the idea of adding a 2ndary metal gear theme about the game over screen...why are you shooting people down for that? Because I didn't go and d/l a font-maker to make my own font? Neither did you or anyone else here. No need to go self-righteous on others especially when the only fault was a misunderstanding.

Btw, I just made my own top_menu_plugin. However, I can't manage to get the boot theme to play properly again, now it speed plays which is strange, I tried using the first one i did that obviously cut pretty harshly then allowed it to have a gradual fade out but despite being the same length it still speed-plays...i'd like to keep the echoed ending but it just makes it way too long. (quite a shame cuz it sounds awesome). Got the nice menu fonts perfectly sized now but this boot sound is pissin me off...speed playing every time, i'll get that ******* right...oh yes...i'll...get...it...r ight...

thats probably because its so easy to do

IF I wanted to do that,this is what I would do

go into my ThemePSP Creator Pack\Font folder,put the font file there,rename it to 'download' and run the batch file

what do you know,it outputs the PSP font files (I,however,changed the batch file not to output to my harddrive directory)

however,tho,if you DL the theme creator yourself,the files will be in 'C:\'

this ***** is easy (unless your making the backround with photoshop that is),altho I had to download a .wav editor to convert to the ringht format because the .vag converter obviously hates Sound Recorder,lol

meesah doin what I want to do,I obviously know this is a 'request' thread,but however,I think you lazy asses need to make your own themes to the way you want them and not someone else,who would not make it to your design most likely

It looks like you have a jacked up version that doesn't include cygwin. I'm sorry that I didn't really understand your problem the other day.

Download the Creator pack again and make sure you extract the WHOLE font folder, not just the batch. Although it's the only thing you click on, it requires lots of things to go with it.

At the request of david... whats-his-face, I've completed a DDR theme!

This specific one is Dance Dance Revolution Extreme, otherwise known as 8th mix (And personally in my top two official mixes.)

I've also included the PoP slash/blood gameboot due to high demand. If you do not wish to flash it, please remove it from the folder first.

Also regarding the font, I know it sucks. I could not find a good font for the love of me. If you have a suggestion for a better one. Please PM/IM/email me and I will credit you in the readme. I'm not going to be taking a whole bunch of suggestions in the thread.

I have helped you with that before. And to this day, I still don't understand what you mean by "alter". If you mean to edit it to look more up to your standards, you need a manipulation program like Photoshop or The GIMP or Paint.

Here we go, I just uploaded the updated version of the Metal Gear Game Over theme for those that want to check it out. It has a custom top menu (created by me this time...), fixed the good font which is featured in the metal gear solid menus, and has the game over screen's sound effect as the boot sound. The boot sound cuts early and sounds very abrupt because no matter what i do (fade out, extend, etc), it will proceed to just speed-play it for some reason.

If anyone wants to help me get it working properly, I'll send you the game-over.wav so you can play with it and try to get it right. The link to the theme is:

I also fixed the BG.bmp because on the last one, I had it at a resolution to be used as a theme wallpaper.bmp for 2.6, now that it is the correct bg.bmp resolution it should look normal.

i'd do it myself if I had a working psp

dont forget to add my LCARS theme to the main list (saw my Matrix theme tho)

I might do a klingon theme sometime,or perhaps a 'Federation Ships' theme,something with a different ship for each of the 12 backrounds,other than the LCARS theme which basically kinda looks like computer terminals.

and perhaps star wars themes
