If you have a bricked psp and install UP will your psp be un-bricked?

If you flash your modchip, yes.

Something I'm curious about, does UP allow for any way to re-flash the original PSP flash chip as well? Or is the 'brick-fix' just that you can now boot from the UP itself?

They've claimed you can reflash the existing PSP chip as well.

if only there were more people on the forum with modchips

i suppose sony fixes psp's in this way too? some external re-flashing module?
