Default NoUMD MOD

I have a 1.5 fw PSP and am currently running DAX ZISO Loader v0.62 BETA with the DevHook Evolved DAX062 NoUMD Loader MOD.

My question is:

Is this the best solution currently? Not counting the UP modchip of course...

Just quite using DAX and switch to Devhook .43 only. It can fully run 2.6 firmware.

There are still some problems with the emulation because I was not able to run Daxter or Metal Gear Acid 2.

haha, MGA2 and Daxter run just fine. It's just the versions you downloa.... er, ripped yourself.

You see, a few months ago, people had to edit the ISOs to make them run with Dax, MPH, RUNUMD, etc. (switching out PRXs and whatnot). However, these edits don't work with DevHook, I believe that is the cause of your problem.

The solution. Well, you COULD go buy/rent the game and make your own rip... or, boot up google and see what you can do!

If I recall Devhook v0.43 is not 'NoUMD' capable, is there a MOD out there that will add this?

Whats this? Are you referring to the 'PSP Device Hook Sample Launcher'? If so, I didn't move to it because the first few early versions didn't work for most of my backups. So I stayed with the 'DAX ZISO Loader v0.62 BETA with the DevHook Evolved DAX062 NoUMD Loader MOD', which did.

I will test the 'Devhook v0.43 fix' tonight. Perhaps I will have re-do some of my backups since some of them had to be patched to work...

And I'll need to catch up with iso formats. I have all my games as .dax. Does DevHook supports anything other then plain .iso.

There's that, and the fact that I hate to carry them around. I want them to stay in good condition should I need them later, ie: hard disk failure dumps my backups... which has already happened once.

You had a hard disk failure destroy your UMDs? That must have been a spectacular explosion.

There's always a umd in my psp anyway .

Honestly it's cheaper to buy umd's than memory sticks to hold the iso's.

Backups... iso backups, of my UMDs. I don't own very many, but what I do own is archived.

I don't ever find myself wanting to play all my games at once, and I don't swap out very often. Therefore a 4GB stick is more than plenty for me. Like I said I dont own an incredible amount of games yet...

Hmmm... I fail to see the 'ownage'.

Jumping to the conclusion that I don't own a single UMD when this thread was for a request about better options than my current 'DAX ZISO Loader v0.62 BETA with the DevHook Evolved DAX062 NoUMD Loader MOD', seems like a post just to post.

I have already stated my reasons for wanting NoUMD, whether it's valid for anyone else or not doesn't really matter, we all have our reasons for our individual needs.
