Hey guys! Sorry for posting a thread that a bunch of you will probably complain about, but I've been really curious lately as to why SNES TYL runs smoother than DGEN and PSPGenesis. Is it because the SNES is easier to emulate, or does this emulator just have more work put into it? Even though I prefer the Genesis in terms of great games and experiences, I've always thought that the it wasn't as powerful as the Super Nintendo, but I've recently heard that it's more complicated and could actually pull more off. Is this why Genesis emulation on the PSP is a step behind compared to the Super Nintendo?
I'm not trying to start a flame-fest or anything, and I'm not intentionally criticizing all of the hard work put into the great selection of emulators for the PSP, but why the heck is it so difficult to get zero frame-skip on Golden Axe? It's a very basic game, and as I have zero programming experience, this concept is very difficult for me to understand. Any helpful replies are welcome. Thanks for your time. Oh, and just what IS "blast-processing"?
