I can not get the final steps , getting the decrypted 2.71? so can any one plz help me out with a deatiled step by step? or email me at bakirp6@hotmail.com (for what site u downloaded da decrypted 2.71) or even how u obtained it!! btw i did get a reboot.bin.gzip and i cant open it, so if u can help me on that thats ok 2! tnx

We can not help you get the files here as they are copyrighted by Sony. For the reboot.bin you will need the decompressed version, not the gzip.

regarding the corrupted data:
i also got that 2 times now (1 time with 2.6 on 0.43 and 1 time with 2.71 on 0.44), see the other thread about it.
both times the reason was an error in the filesystem and the file auth.dat of flash1 of the firmware was somehow crosslinked to other parts of the ms (in my latest case to my outrun savefolder... so byebye to my outlook save).
it may have something to do with the webbrowser, as i believe on both occurences i experimented with the webbrowser and rss-feeds. but im not 100% sure of it.

using checkdsk will correct the problem without format of the ms, but some of the data is lost.

it was on previous versions.. i've found a no-autoboot mod for .44 but it doesn't seem to do anything on mine :P

I'm loving this DevHook its great...

HOWEVER, I cant seem to get my bookmarks to work in the browser, I can add them OK but if I go back in they dont seem to be saved!!!

I have the Folders SYSTEM/BROWSER in the GAME folder too !

Anyone else had this issue and if so how did you sort it ??

To obtain decryted 2.60 or 2.71 files do like this:

If you already have the files decrypted, go here and download "2.71 reboot decompress", install it to your memstick as usual and run it.
(The decrypted and the encrypted 2.71 dumps need to be on your memstick for that to work)

It'll then exctract the reboot.bin in the /FD folder on your memstick and you're good to go.


If you need to decrypt the whole FW dump as well, download "2.7X PRX Decrypter for 2.6" install it to the memstick, upgrade (!) your PSP to 2.60 (2.60 exactely, nothing else - if you have a working 2.60 in DevHook, that'll be fine as well) and run it.
Be sure to have the encrypted dump in /F0 before doing so!

Downgrade back to 1.50 and run above's reboot.bin thing.

is there anyway to get this to work with or along the lines of the irshell. mind oyu i am very happy to have this but the irshell was usefull for testing certain things or to have unlimited space. i tried a couple things and i can load the devhook .44 with ir shell but it freezes because the usb hookup disconnects as it loads the 2.71 firmware. so everything it was trying to load from the computer is no longer accsessable to the psp.

Impossible right now, simply because the reboot flushes out everything in the RAM except devhook.

The beta build of irshell out today works with devhook. Its only for testers atm but if everything goes well there will be a public release.

just go to pspupdates find the .45 update and scroll down you'll see some people posting links to the full package this has everything done for you. posting the bin file is a big no no on here.

Hey All

I have a question, then i leave a game after i have use DEvhook 0.44 the follow message appear. Settings infomations is corrupted. Press the 0 button to repair and restore default settings. Then i press 0 the fail i still there. Now i power of my PSP and after a while and i can launche the Devhook again.

Do anyone know, what to do.
