I was looking through the source, and it does look like you can change it where it reads. But, it first must flash it to flash1:/. Art, can you do that? Also, maybe including this program in future versions of X-FLASH?

So then it is DEPENDANT! Also, suggestion to Art, Dark_Alex, whoever. Make in option to either keep config.txt file on your memstick or to flash it to flash1:/ and in Recovering Mode, to reverse the changes, and to reflash config file.

OMG i think i got USB mass storage going without going to "USB mode"!

can someone give me a rundown of whatever was release to work with this after dark_alex release the custom fw.. like the screenshot thing or whatever. how do i install that...

I think it's better to use it as on the memory stick, you can change all your settings without needing to reflash it. The only reason you would want it flashed is if you were absolutly 100% positive that you wouldn't be changing anything.

If people start making mods for it (like the above poster and USB mass storage) and other new stuff start coming, you would want to add these in.

Well, if you want, thats all man. Im not trying to make you work more, it just would make it easier than having another eboot. To bad i cant code for ****. I'm trying to use the PSP's USB default PRX's, but i think I might have an idea why they are not working. They are probably loaded at startup anyway, but need to be executed by pressing the "USB mode" icon.

Perhaps I am just not using the right PRX's. Here are the ones i have tried:
"ms0:/dh/150/flash0/kd/usbstor.prx "
"ms0:/dh/150/flash0/kd/usbstormgr.prx"
"ms0:/dh/150/flash0/kd/usbstorms.prx "
"ms0:/dh/150/flash0/kd/usbstorboot.prx"
AND all at once.

What am I doing wrong, or DO they need execution?

I see where you are comming from but even so its not a major problem. I would rather have a more functional firmware than one that is less dependent on the memory stick.

When I downgraded my 2.6 there was custom stuff allready on it, and I like the stuff that was on it so I neva changed them.
If I install this custom firmware, will I loose all the this stuff?

You can put the .prx wherever you like, as long as the path is correct in the config, it should work.

No, you will keep all of your optional fonts etc.

Shweet. I got it workin. This is truly one of the greatest feats in psp homebrew history, the beginning of custom firmwares. Chalk one up for us.

And to COOP96, you don't need to worry, it doesn't change anything you customized.

I converted all my Homebrew to 1.00 EBOOTs and searching for a Shell now, which Shell is the best ? (except IR Shell)

Well, not really any of them.... when PSPosx v2 comes out it will be the best, but for now ir shell wont load 1.00 homebrews, so just use the XMB.

One reason I do not like iR Shell is because it does not show 1.00 eboots.

im trying to find one.still not one suitable for this.

Is there some way to uninstall this, such as upgrading to 2.0 then downgrading again? or all you did was add a file that loads, so it doesn't get removed from the flash. If that were true, then why couldn't you install it, then upgrade to 2.0/2.01/2.5/2.6 and use it normally?
