Custom Firmware - The proof of concept

So if i get this straight. If I put an update eboot in my ms0:/PSP/GAME/UPDATE/ I could not brick my PSP anymore ? well it can brick but i will be able to execute the eboot with the recovery tool ?

So this means i have now made my PSP brick proof in a way ? :D

yes. but only if you dont brick it because you overwrote important prx's. the usual mods, like opening_plugin.rco (boot sound, debranded intro), gameboot, menu text and backgrounds do not affect the recovery mode.

Sort Of, Dark_Alex Stated that it will not "un-brick" a PSP that has written to a "Critical .prx" , but if you were installing custom gameboots or fonts, it would work like a charm ;)

i have never downgraded from anything other than from 2.6--->1.5 without ever updating and downgrading.it was always fine and the hack is working perfectly

TA-082 owners w/ <2.70FW have full read/write flash0 access (w/ gta, of course), but I suppose this would still brick the psp?

exept sont hardcoded the ipl so that you cant have one thats <2.6.same with the firmware.BTW did you get it at ebgames and if so did you get the warenty?

Ok, I did this, changed the config.txt to Skip Auto Run UMD, and Taken Off corrupt data icons, both worked perfect, going to bed know, I love dark_alex now, the things Devs will be able to do with this, I just cant wait, good night everyone :)

P.S. I love how this isnt on the front page yet, they are realy slow, lol :)
