It in no way can unbrick a psp that never installed it.
It cant unbrick a psp that was PURPOSLY bricked. ( Virus... )
It can unbrick a psp, if things like corrupted gameboot/ menu names/ fonts/ coldboots/ etc. ( Basicly anything Art tells you NOT to mess with. :P )
Anyway, we will need a diagnostics system soon, that scans your flash0 for faults and applies clean files from a dump. :P <-- that would be sweeet!

Why don't we just emulate it through devhook? We can emulate 2.71, so why not a custom firmware? I would also think that it would be safer than a downgrade/upgrade

Works 100%, no danger at all for the PSP.
On another note...I got the Screenshot plugin working, but only for the 1.5 XMB, anyone know a way to get it working for UMD's / Homebrew?
i think its just dark_alex. just wait a while for him to release a guaranteed working one and also wait for one with more features... like 2.71 games and homebrew

I haven't heard anyone getting bricked, so I'd say 100%. Dunno though,.
The process for me took a total of..maybe 2 secconds to flash? What can go wrong in the matter of 2 secconds?
