thank u !! wow 3mb file took u that long..hahaha :p
yes usbhostfs works, but cannot redirect by itself. I was refering to a usb driver that all usb connection whenever you are in the XMB. This could increase the risk of corruption when modifying files and opening menus in the xmb, so be wary.
c5cha7, can I use that to flash in my screenshotbmp.prx somehow? I just need a method.
i don't want read 20 pages.... can someone explain me what the 'c5cha7.zip' is? And which PRX's can i use with the config File? (Except AutoUSB and Screenshoot)
ok... i dont want to read 85 pages about this...so can anyone sum up for me what has happened in this thread? and what things pl have made for this so far or what ever?
you could just read one back. It is a modified POC custom firmware that will allow you to load devhook upon boot by holding down the L shoulder button.
That should about cover your questions, we are still discovering many things. I made a list of working custom prxs about 6 posts back. Hopefully you can read that much.
i know its a custom firmware and i have it and everything...bt it seems ppl have been editing it?
I'll edit flashmod to flash screenshotbmp.prx after,Zitat:
Zitat von manaox2
then you can hopefully tell the config file to look in
Flash0:/kd/screenshotbmp.prx :) .
I'm just gonna take a small 2 min break. :p
EDIT: My c5cha7 file allows you to do what he said \/
Sorry i was too lazy to type all that :p .Zitat:
Zitat von ZFB8
Thank you so much. I know that is a large favor to ask. Can't wait to see if it works.Zitat:
Zitat von c5cha7
ok, thx
So with what you posted, for the hold L Trigger thing, what exactly do I use to flash it to the firmware? Do I go to "Turn on wave effect in background", since it says on that one that it writes the VSHmain.prx?
EDIT:
It doesn't do ALL of what I said. Part of my post was about mapping any button =P But I like what you've done already, thanks a lot!Zitat:
Zitat von c5cha7
Affirmative... I mean correct lol :p .Zitat:
Zitat von ZFB8
Been watching too much Terminator :o .
Sorry :o , but atleast its a start :p .Zitat:
Zitat von ZFB8
EDIT:
I can always re-edit the VSHMAIN.PRX Again :) .
I'll try my best to fit your description.
lol cool
n/m im wrong. Realize its 4:37 AM here. I need sleep.
Hmm. I just tried your mod. When I first did it, it took like 10 seconds for it to boot into Devhook. Now, EVERY time I turn on my PSP it boots into Devhook even when I don't hold L. I think I'll wait until this is a bit more refined. Can you upload the original vshmain.prx so I can flash it back on? =\
EDIT: Hmm, I just realized that it's just acting as if I had never done anything to the vshmain.prx, it still autoloads it even if I don't press L, but doesn't load it if I put a # before the line with the homebrew location. This is what it has, maybe I just did something wrong >_>

Wow. That stinks. Kind of like temporarily updating. :P Just reflash the original from the custom firmware installation. It'll overwrite it itself.
simple question here sorryZitat:
Zitat von LastDance
A simple question that I answered. I'm cranky.Zitat:
Zitat von manaox2
It works fine for me, i'll keep testing until i can confirmZitat:
Zitat von ZFB8
its working 100% (yet it doe's work for me lol...)
P.S
your best of re-installing the Custom Firmware POC made by Dark_alex.
I was gonna do this right now
but I think I'll wait for some one Much smarter then me like "c5cha7" to realse a modded version that has more stuff on it :D
So reflash the custom firmware, then flash the vshmain you made? Or the other way around? Sorry, I'm just tired and I don't wanna **** anything up XD
So been away for about 10 hours and there`s 40 more pages, can someone give me a recap on whats new after the screenshot prx ? please ?
lol i should be saying sorry :p .Zitat:
Zitat von ZFB8
Anyway use the "original" Dark_alex Custom Firmware installer
located on the fist page of this post :) .
It will just re-flash it back to the way it was before ;).
wait on reflashing the original custom firmware to overwrite and replace the custom vshmain. You technically should be able to reflash a new custom vshmain overtop of that. What happens though, per se, if you reinstall the custom firmware and it replaces the vshmain_real with the custom one he has on there now? Wouldn't that BRICK his psp?
Then i'd say don't do it! :pZitat:
Zitat von manaox2
Just use Slashers uninstaller then re-install the original mod again.
I'm getting confuzzled...
EDIT:
It wouldn't brick anyway ;).
Dark_Alex was smart enough to put a MD5 Checker on the Eboot :p .
LOL yeah. I hope he gets that message in time. Now I feel bad.
I g2g to sleep for now as its 5 am. I'll check tomorrow as soon as I awake to check and try out my idea. Wonder what that freeplay is going to end up with? goodnight all.
Yeah, I got the message.
I wasn't gonna simply re-do the mod while it's still installed, that sounded a little odd even to me, so I ran the uninstaller from Slasher then came back here and saw the message =P
EDIT: Yeah, everything went fine, I used the unflasher then re-installed the firmware from Dark_Alex, all is as it should be :)
This is great ive woken up to find so many mods for this custom firmware
C5cha7 is it possible for you to set this up so that homebrew autoboots but if we hold L-Trigger a different homebrew will boot?Zitat:
Zitat von Config
I have seen one mod and a un-flasher, that hardly "so many"!Zitat:
Zitat von Nutterbutter
been reading through 40 pages and found not 1 new mod :(Zitat:
Zitat von The Ex
am i just not awake enough ?
what does ths new mod do exaclty?
its not exactly a mod but a cool addition!Zitat:

ok. the new mod question has been answered several times already recently. read back some. as for new mods, their is a new allinone prx in the developers section that sums up everything found so far. check that out.
Ive put all the mods ive found so far here:Zitat:

thanks guys !
With all this flashing im worried about my NAND.
Does anyone actually know the amount of times you have to flash it for it to die?
something like 10000 timesZitat:
Zitat von Dark_Merlin
I didn't mean it in that way - If theKnightInHell wants to make an ISO loader - by all means go ahead - I didn't realise at first that he was an experienced code (I was mistaken)Zitat:
Zitat von FreakShow!
anyone got any screens of the custom firmware?
Its just the same as a normal 1.5 except you can load 1.00 eboots, autoload homebrew at startup and remove corrupt icons.Zitat:
Zitat von QJ_Haseo
I could take a screenshot but it just looks the same as a normal 1.5
