Idea == Devhook being like a bootloader (have all your firmwares right there so you can choise which one to boot (It clears the ram so its optimal and its stable).

I heard a lot about 1.00 eboots starting up faster than 1.50 kxploited ones. From what I can tell from using the custom firmwares 1.00 eboot feature, this is not the case! Unless the speedier start up only occurs on a 1.00 proper?

The faster startup is only on 1.0 FW. And still, it's not a "OMG THAT'S FAST" improvement....it's 1 or 2 seconds faster, that's all.

Also, the recovery side is just what i've been waiting for - For some reason skylarks fonthack app allways BSOD's me - so I have to flash the font to my PSP to use it for some reason - I just never did incase it didn't working and I partially bricked my PSP - But now I can just repair my PSP by launching the 1.00 downgrader!

Now I have the halo font on like a charm

That firmware did nothing. He added a PRX and it did NOTHING.

ooh, ok just a thought cuz it sux not being able to see the bmps u captured in 1.5, u have to loadup 2.71 to see them

Hmm....maybe if you load up the modules required...? Im gonna do some looking in shells and see if they have their picture viewing in .prxs.

IRshell allows you to view images - check it out and see if it works

PSP unpacker for windows will unpack it....

I really don't mean to rain on your parade, but you can put as many modules as u want into your flash, but you have to have the PSP load them to do any good.

Those shells all load the PRXs usign one method or another, so unless you can get the PSP to load those modules...

It's no different than if the modules weren't even there.

Those shells all load the PRXs usign one method or another, so unless you can get the PSP to load those modules...

It will NOT work. I cannot use a decrypted .prx OR since I am loadin a .prx that has already been loaded, it doesnt work. What happens is, my PSP turns on, I see the memory stick flashing, the the Memory Stick light stays on, and the PSP XMB doesnt load. The only way to make it work, it to make another photo_plugin.prx, and keep the original a different filename. Because this wont work.

All you people complaining whether it's a custom firmware or not, does it really matter? Personally I class it as a custom firmware as it is something not an official one.

All that are saying it is not possible to get homebrew and 2.71 features in a later custom firmware, I think that the chance of this never happening is remote. With the modchip, people will be able to throw loads of test firmwares at it and will find a way, plus the amazing ideas of every developer that work to help further the homebrew ability of all PSPs will always turn up something that will do what is wanted (eg Fanjita, Dark_Alex, Math etc)

Can't wait for one that has the extra features, that will make it worthy of loading. I would have done this, but forced to tidy

True. It will be great. This is my dream firmware:

2.71+ features
ISO loading straight form XMB
1.00 eboot launching
ISO dumping from XMB
All different codecs for music and video

I know, but eventualy we will be able to. I know it. I et withen 6 month Dark_Alex will release a firmware maker, where you just download the program, check off the options for stuff you want, click "build firmware" and then just flash it on your PSP.

Don't you think your asking for quite alot here? Other holes would have to be located before anything like this could EVER happen.... :rtfm: !!!
