I still haven't had time to mess around with this yet. Do you need to assign the files to unbrick your PSP beforehand?
For instance, you place a 2.00 update on your memory stick as a failsafe and assign recovery mode to look for/run this file as an option? Or point to the 2.00 update through the USB option in recovery mode?
You can activate USB through recovery mode and place your eboot onto your MS there.
I have the eboot and index.dat on my memory stick so i dont have to use computer. Its just a precaution is all. :)
Or just be like me and keep a copy of the 1.0 index.dat in the root of your mem stick and a copy of the 1.5 update on there too.Zitat:

can someone give a link to the 1.0 index.dat ? or is that against the rules ?
Yeah, h/o ill get it for you.Zitat:

Im wondering, has anyone actually used a 1.00 index.dat created through software, like X-FLASH, where you can change the version number of the index.dat, and it will say 1.00? Because I have an index.dat obtainded through the MPH downgrader, and I suggest using that one, as if the downgrader uses it and it works, then so should the recovery module. I dont know if the index.dat created by X-FLASH would work, as I havent needed to use Recovery Mode yet.
The one form x-flash works too. That is wher I got my index.dat.Zitat:

EDIT: his poc didnt come with config file....
We need iso loading through the menu... :)
Could someone post a guide on how exactly you could recover your psp from a brick with this firmware?
Okay, first, look at the readme of your custom firmware, see how to enter Recovery Mode. Turn on your PSP. If the index.dat and the UPDATE eboot isnt present on your memory stick, while in recovery mode, activate USB. (Look at the readme to find out how to do this.) Then, depending on your custom firmware mode, you either put the 1.00 index.dat in the root of your memory stick, or in the SYSTEM folder. Once you have put the index.dat in the correct location, flash it to flash0 using Recovery Mode. (look at the readme to find out how to do this.) Then, make sure you got the 1.5 Eboot in the UPDATE folder. Select the UPDATE option in Recovery Mode, and thus, your PSP will be cured!
Ok thanks for that, could you just put the 2.00 update in the folder instead of flashing the index.dat, and then downgrade?
That's why cfw is so fantastic - I have used this quite a few times now - it's such a life saver!!!
Good idea, that should work.Zitat:

What happens when i let go of the L trigger to soon while booting ??
Sure, as long as you didnt change your firmware number from 1.5 to 2.0+. I did, so I use a 1.00 index.dat. Plus I dont have to upgrade to 2.0 then downgrade to 1.5.Zitat:
