wow thats alot of posts...

anyways, i downloaded the files, put them all in the right place, but when i start it up it says the vshmain_real.prx size doesnt match. im just a little stuck here because i dont know what this means. i have tho opened this application previously on irshell (before the error came up) and it said flashing and done in like a split second. so i tried it again, just to be sure because i saw no changes, and the vshmain_real.prx error came up. little help here

Did you make that? And what exactly does it do? Start up USB mode when you boot up? or does it just enable USB?

User made(Me). Enables USB on startup(or if you exit a game, etc; basically whenever you're in the XMB).

Has anyone tried autoloading one of the screenshot PRXs with this? I assume its safe and would work, but Im not home right now and dont have a USB cable with me

Slasher where you say your usb prx will let us run homebrew from the pc, i noticed when i run any homebrew my usb dissapears.

Wouldnt this make it impossible to load off of your computer HD?

Ok, I installed it. Recovery mode, skipping of the boot animation and corrupt icon hiding all work perfectly!

Heres my first modified version of the custom firmware .
It lets you load DEVHOOK if you hold the L-Trigger on startup,
not much really but it works!

Also i reccommend trying this with a firmware emulator first,
(I have already flashed it to my psp and its great) but you'll have to find your own way of flashing it to your PSP if you really want it on (like editing flashmod etc).

I'm gonna try some more mods and stuff now, i'll
report back soon :) .

And how can I change it to boot up any homebrew when I press L rather than just Devhook? Or does it just change it so instead of auto-loading the homebrew you specified in the config, you must press L for it to load it?

i'll also change some settings so you don't just have to use
devhook with the L-Trigger.

He made it just for devhook, you cant change it by the config as he edited the main file.

Because I'm running two versions of Devhook on my PSP due to some compatibility issues and convenince, so it would be nice if I could just edit a text file to map any button to any homebrew and be able to choose which Devhook to load on startup =P

but with your L mode you override the recovery module right, so what you did was remap the memorty module acess key.

Since there is all this extra room on the flash, I'm going to go ahead and try to use this custom flashmod to flash screenshotbmp.prx to the kd folder on my flash0 and tell it to load it from there if possible. Does anyone see any problem with this? This little 5kb prx isn't going to hurt anything and I'm not overwriting anything. Maybe Art could make a secret function in X-Flash (like he originally did with the mp3s) to flash files in. While it is dangerous, I am agreeing to the risk.

I'll post it as soon as i Flash it to my own psp first ;).
It works perfect in devhook though,
i'll include some instructions so nobody gets confused.

Nope, flashing a EXTRA Prx file should not hurt one bit ;).
