If they had decrypted 2.7, why didn't they release when Devhook was in need of the decrypted 2.7 firmware?

1. Im getting it free as my uncle works in the shop

DevHook uses ENCRYPTED firmware. The only non-encrypted fiels are the ones provided and reboot.bin.

And yes, it could be hype by UP, but RESPECTABLE MODCHIP STORES provided the demo this time, they arn't going to put their reputation on the line for a lie...but all you morons seem to believe is it's "not real" and "dark_alex and booster are gods", well, if you trust them so much read this (Quote from another forum on the Epsilon BIOS subject):

No, 2.71 wouldn't accept custom code in vshmain.prx. The bug that lets to do that is exactly the same that lets us execute homebrew in 1.50: no check for elf files, only for prx', which was very lame for part of sony...
My guess is that the epsilon bios would do something more or less similar to my poc to begin the bootstrap, and it would then switch to the other nand, and do something like devhook to load the 2.71 from that other flash.

Of course, some 1.5 files would still be needed in one of the flashes, that's why i guess it needs 2 flashes. (however this doesn't mean that a thing like that would be impossible with one flash: there is enough space in one flash for the full 2.71 + the basic files of 1.50 needed for the bootstrap, the only remaining problem are the paths for some files... not really a too big problem)

Ok lol i don't know any U.P guys and my uncle not paying me to advertise thats so stupid. Ok my uncle works in the UK beside Elgin(Scotland), it is not a main shop like modchipstore. Its just called the GameExchange which is a little shop that takes in mod chips and ofcourse by the name of it exchanges used and new games, this shop doesnt take in on-line orders as this place cannot afford a website etc but he got me a free mod chip and installing it for me. Thats Great.

I think it was fake when they initially promoted it. However, I find it funny that after leaving it on the back burner for so long they're finally promoting it again. I think they were waiting for someone like Dark_AleX to hack the firmware, and then use their work to make their BIOS later on. And oddly enough, as soon as we get the 2.6 dger and 2.71 on DevHook, they're back with new videos and such.

So in my opinion, they're stealing other peoples work, but they've finally made their precious BIOS.

it's absolutely 100% real. my pre-mod arrived yesterday with it pre-flashed and i'm not lying. i got a 2gb memstick with it and after putting the memstick in the bios created a folder on the root of the memstick titled 'isos'. i tested the gba emu this morning and it booted no problem with no corrupted icons on 2.71 fw. i'm going to TEST an iso after work to see if it works...but i have no doubts. after hitting the home button to exit a homebrew the epsilon logo is in the upper left hand side of the screen. it's only a matter of time before other pre-mod owners will confirm this as well. fluff made a wager that if he was wrong he would run butt naked through a store with 'i was wrong' written on his ass in pink lipstick while his friend video records it. it's gonna be classic that's for damn sure.

the only problem is the ribbon cable that runs from the chip to the usb connection may be f'd up and may need replaced. windoze doesn't recognize when the u.p. is connected after following the instructions to a t. so i can't dump the fw from the chip, which sucks because i also can't flash the chip if a new release is out for the bios...but for now i'm golden with my pre-mod and epsilon bios. how do you like to eat your hats? mustard maybe? how about some grey poupon? lol.
