what it does is boots before the XMB allowing you to either update through it or access USB mode to fix the brick!

ok, quickly:
-It allows you to run USB Mass storage
-It will run whatever eboot.pbp is in ms0:/psp/game/update (2.0 upgrade to redowngrade to 1.5 for brick recovery)
Mainly the importants of it right there, but It can be useful, if you brick with XFlash, move XFlash into the update folder and undo what you did! Stuff like that!
I think theres more, but what I mentioned the main point of recovery mode!

Can anyone get some screenshots of it please? I'd want some screenshots that show how to unbrick my 1.5. Any would be appreciated.

So if you bricked using XFlash, you'd place the XFLASH folder into the UPDATE folder, Hold R for the recovery mode then press X?

Nice post
[hr]
Anyway, DID you brick your PSP? Also, any eboot int he update folder will run, mainly the unbricker is, Update to 2.0 and redowngrade (or 1.5-1.0 dg then back to 1.5) and the PSP fixes, but 2.0 ones better, or in XFlash, just revert your changes!

EDIT:

Can't you just set X Flash to autorun in the settings?
(without moving it to UPDATE folder)

Obviously it will only unbrick if you installed the recovery firmware modifications *before* you bricked it.

The recovery will also only unbrick if the files overwritten during the brick were not core system ones.
