ok, well since the new devhook can run homebrew, but no one has realy taken any direct action to converting homebrew, i want to give it a kick start, please if you know how, post some popular homebrew for devhook here so others can download, i am currently trying to figure it out my self lol, but if your a dev or just a smart guy and know how to compile homebrew so it can run on devhook 0.45 just upload it and post the link here!

Hmmmm,

been trying for an hour now, but I keep getting this error message:

The game could not be started.
(800200D1)

Anyone know what I did wrong? Or could someone write me a decent guide?

EDIT: Well, I tried, but it seems the attachment feature is broken. I used the PRXTool and the edited MKSFO tool.

The edited NesterJ zshadow posted works fine. Guess I'll really need to recompile the source in order for HB to work on 0.45. Time to dig up the old CYGWIN.

The difference is that 2.71 needs the EBOOTs to be compiled with the BUILD_PRX=1 in the makefile.
Also, it can currently not handle kernel homebrew, including WiFi.

I'm currently trying to get LUA Player working, but my CYGWIN needs heavy updating. I'll report ASAP.

After patching mksfo from the current pspsdk svn tree and modifying my program as instructed in the demo, I am able to get past the launcher, but the game still fails to start with error code 8002013C.

The mksfo patch has been uploaded to http://rapidshare.de/files/26632697/...diffs.txt.html and is against the svn rev 1976. Note that this was taken from patches originally done by hitchhikr.

Two things I can't figure out though:

1. The instructions say "use devkitPSP7 to the build.(I didn't check latest SDK)". What is devkitPSP7 and where can I download it.

2. The instructions say that the SDK needs to be patched to handle an ELF load error (which is what I think 8002013C is). I've found the appropriate entry in pspdev\pspsdk\src\kernel\ LoadCoreForKernel.S but it looks like a table entry and I don't know how to make the changes he indicates.

Can anyone help with these two questions?

Hopefully the mksfo patches helps some of you take a step forward.

so you just need to stick the 1.00 eboot in an exe and let it do all the work? because thats the only way i see this thing going anyfaster, so for i have had no

This is frustrating...i thought it would be soo easy to run homebrew from 2.71 but no. I just rebuilt the SMASHGpsp src and tried to run. It starts to run, but then you cant see the game boot, the memstick starts to flash, then the screen goes black and the stick is still flashing. Then I get a reboot. I think its close, but I just dont know what I did wrong.

Hey, I have recently picked up on a nice PSP Eboot Compiler from here and saw about how to make games compatible for 2.71.

I had a bit of trouble to start with but by looking at the source of the 2.xx homebrew demo i finally figured it out.

It turns out it was much easier than I thought it would be and I got to recompile three games/applications. PSP Sokoban, Robot Finds Kitten and Flamez from Noobs.eu

The zip contains all three games/applications and the sources of them.

I also had some trouble with games that were ported from SDL, as soon as i get that running in my compiler i shall make some more
