aww man it's only running at 7-13 fps
i hope hb games that use this engine run better than that. I know PSMonkey's Iris game runs at 30-60fps depending on the map, so i'm hoping for some speed improvement in the future, either with the engine or the games

yea, well its still in beta stages so hopefully the lighting and the fps problems will be addressed before the proper release. Because really, although I appreciate all their hard work up until now, it is pointless to have an engine that runs at 13 fps because that is simply unplayable.

I do think it will get better, but it really sort of scares me. As much as i would ABSOLUTLY LOVE homebrew running on this 3d engine, i think sony might actually just give up. Because if this runs full speed and we can play homebrew games with that type of graphics, the popularity of psp homebrew will quickly rise. People knowing they can get awesome games for free, and paying only for the few sony games they want.... i do think that if enough people actually were to start using HB, sony may just give up .... what do you think?

I believe the reason the frame rate drops low is because the level is actual designed for quake 3, it wasn't made with the psp in mind.

He copied and pasted the code from tutorials on psp-programming.com and compiled it. Im afraid to say thats all he was capable of.

Oh no. I guess you're too blind to read my site and noticed I posted an update a while back giving status. Unlike strmnnrmn, I work on more then one projects. I am at the moment rather busy writing a new engine for use in two compo entries I need done by August 20th.

Of course at the same time I was also putting time into n64 (Looking at a LD/SD hack, not to mention converting primary instruction set to 32bit), reporting neopop to make it better, working on something everybody wants along with also working a full time job as as a comercial DS coder.

The only person who said Faak the monkey on the main page was WTF?!?!?!?!, I don't recomend following in his footsteps. If people be cool with me, I am cool with them back and quite often give out beta/demo to stuff i'm working on.

Also I cant find in your history. Are you the guy who did the little robot demo that was controversal?

If so, I though you got a bad rap over that. Everybody starts somwhere (nobody starts out making technical things). Atleast it was 3d vs a sprite bouncing in lua (sorry to lua coders but i'm not a fan of 1/3 of the things done in lua so far).

I tried this demo...I was getting around 30fps and the lighting looked fine, not too bright, not too dark.
