any thing that writes to flash has a chance of bricking, but its not likely, alot of people use that app.

Update to 2.0, then downgrade to 1.5 if you have downgraded from 2.5/2.6.

Or, use X-Flash to fake firmware 1.0, and use a 1.5 eboot.

ThemePSP realy shouldent brick your PSP ever, but theres always a chance of bricking.

So you may want to consider installing a custom firmware so you can "Un-Brick" your PSP using the recovory mode.
