Hi, ive made an eboot that runs on 2.71FW, when i run it, it starts, and holds at the PSP logo for a while, a bit longer than normal, then the screen turns off and the PSP crashes.

The eboot contains a Slightly modified Overflow.tif from the MPH downgrader.

My question is, since the psp crashed, is it possible to make a downgrader from this? Since on 2.0 if it crashed it would let the downgrader run. Sorry if this wont work but it DID crash.

no. You'll never be able to downgrade using a an update eboot.

update? who said update eboot? reath the topic before posting, this eboot was made from scratch, no update eboot was used.

please reply i am unable and am too scared to continue doing anything with this eboot, and need some programmers/hackers to make this work....

ive also noticed that if i take out the memory stick early, the psp logo will fade out and say game cannot be started, and return to the XMB. however if i leave the memory stick in, it continues reading and effectivly crashes the PSP.

one more thing lol, when sony fixed the overflow bug in 2.01, they just fixed the lib to prevent the exploit from running. however, sony has NOT prevented the exploit from working if it does run.

- A Crash doesnt equal an exploit
- The tif overflow bug has been fixed
- The 2.0 tif picture ran code
- The tif picture made the psp think it was a 1.0 so it could run a 1.5 update
- How is this gunna run any code?

Do me a favour? A little more searching and reading and a little less swearing at me. How old are you 14? Oh also this is the hacks section, for hacks. Speculation is also a forum section for......well, im sure you get my drift.

you guys with your 1.5s have it good, but beleive it or not there ARE ALOT of people who are waiting for a 2.71 downgrader to come out. So if you dont care, at least stop discouraging everyone whos trying!

ok the tif exploit was tweaked. i can also make almost any eboot do the same thing u did.

i gave him a chance, he asked if there was a chance of a downgrader because of it and i said no. Simple enough.
