can someone clarify again what kernel access is capable of doing? something about more homebrew accessible to 2.5/2.6ers, but i can't recall the rest........

Just give Fanjita time guys, the kernel loader isn't going to happen overnight.

Last I heard, he wasn't working on one.

What you guys don't realize is how restricted the kernel-mode hack is. You can't even display text on the screen with it.

Yes. That was why the 2.6 downgrader didn't display any warnings or any progress bars... or even logs of files being switched around. Kernel mode for 2.6 is very unstable.
