Can the original official Sony 32mb NAND Flash be reflashed as well as the U.P? Or is it only the U.P that can be reinstalled if a brick occurs?

its both,but you need epsilon bios to flash the internal nand,but you can reflash UPs nand on a computer anytime.

No, you cannot flash this to a normal, un-modded PSP because it uses both a un-modded 2.71, and it's own Epsilon firmware to make it run all of the things that it does, thus taking advantage of it's two Flash chips.
