Default Why can we not have homebrew on 2.71?

My PSP is currently sitting at 2.71. I know we have a downgrader now, but what if I don't want to downgrade? If we know how to exploit the PSP to the point of flashing the firmware, can't we take that same knowledge and create an app that would assist in starting homebrew apps? Are there certain limitations to our hardware access with the current libtiff exploit that require us to downgrade to use homebrew apps, or is it that it is just easier to simply downgrade and use the known methods?

Thanks!

Why don't you just downgrade and use Devhook to emulte 2.71? It's basically the same thing. That way you have full support of homebrew.

And as the others said somebody is already working on one.

heywire you should do some reading prior to posting as the above info about the work-in-progress eLoader is readily available and has been discussed heavily since the Hello world proof of concept was released. Have some patience.
