Default Flashing devhook to NAND to Free space of your Memory Stick

I have a 32mb MS im waiting for the 8GB to be realesed (so price on 4gb will lower) to get a 4gb. in the mean while im stuck whit the 32mb one.

anyway the 2.71 dump takes freaking 16MB, thats half the memory stick!
and you have all the small parts like save games, custom fw config, the rest of devhook and browser settings, that all togetter add up to some what a higher amount than wished.

i thought, that if i flashed the devhook files, i could delete ms0:\dh\271\flash0\KD\res ource and ms0:\dh\271\flash0\font of my Memory Stick. i booted up Devhook and it looked like the emulation worked.

what i gained from this was a Faster Devhook emulation and about 4.25MB more space for homebrew (that is much for those with only 32MB)

if you have the .46 version there should be a flash rom option in the menu,
atleast it does on mine

above the menu on mine it says "PSP DEVHOOK Ver.0.46 by BOOSTER"

So after I flash both of them to NAND I can delete them?
Sorry if I ask too many questions, I haven't been a round homebrew that long (well, I was around it, back when the 2.5/6 eloader was new).

Yep - once it's flashed, you don't need the ones on your MS anymore.

Would you guys say that if something went wrong in a DevHook flash, that it could be saved in custom firmware?

There is always the possibility when writing to the flash...although it is unlikely.

Make sure your psp is at least 50% charged and its plugged into a power source.

I have the same issue, I have the default 32MB stick and have Devhook installed and it takes like 22 MB. I only have room for the GameBoy emulator and a couple of ROMs. I, however, am ordering a 2GB stick off of New Egg today or tomorrow. Only $58!!

I'll rather buy a 256Mb cheapo duplicate Pro Duo rather than taking risks and bricking my PSP !

i would say it technically could be unbricked yeah because its writing fonts and as far as i know of fonts and stuff like that can be unbricked with custom firmware....

so if im right if you bricked your psp with it,it would just come up sony computer entertainment and then freeze (which means you can intercept the boot up by loading devhook, recovery.elf or custom firmware configurator or xflash! so... ya know it should work!

Well 8gb won't work with 1.5, apparantly it will in the newer firmwares though.
Not sure if this is true or not though, will just have to wait
