Default TIFF eloader released 2.01-2.6

Quote:
Noobz are proud to announce the release of the latest eLoader version, 0.9.8, otherwise known as the "Porter" release.

This version brings user-mode homebrew to v2.0-v2.6 PSPs, without the need for Grand Theft Auto. Now, almost all the software that worked with GTA can now be used without it. You can view a list of the known working homebrew for this version in the PSP Homebrew Database:

* v2.00 PSPs
* v2.01 PSPs
* v2.50 PSPs
* v2.60 PSPs

Please consider helping out other eLoader users by signing up for an account, and adding your test results too.

Other changes:

* eMenu has been improved in various small ways.
* The default menu is now eMenu, the old menu has been retired.

By now you're probably wondering, "What on earth is Porter?". Or maybe, what's next? Well, here's a rough roadmap for what we're currently working on:

* A user-mode loader for v2.70 and v2.71.
* A user-mode loader for v2.80.
* A loader to support kernel-mode homebrew on those platforms where it is possible.
* A way to do away with eLoader altogether, and load homebrew directly from the XMB.

We will not predict when these will be ready (so please don't ask!), but we're working as fast as we can on them.

You can download the auto-installer for Windows here, and the ZIP version for other systems here. You can view the README.TXT file here.

In other words it works just like the 2.00 TIFF loader only it now works in firmwares 2.01, 2.50, and 2.60.
Everyone got that? Good. No more stupid questions.

Why only user mode homebrew?
I mean the TIFF loader for 2.00 had kernal access and said by fanjita: The TIFF loader is different than the GTA loader because the xmb is already in kernal, and the photo folder is in the XMB while the GTA loader is launched in a game that doesn't have kernal access.
Should be able to run Kernal eboots

the tiff loader for 2.00 wasn't kernel. it had access to flash but still it wasn't kernel.

(if all tiff exploits were kernel we would have a 2.80 downgrader also wouldn't we? )

Well it is a well known fact that fanjita is not a big supporter of iso's or piracy. So maybe he left kernal mode out on purpose. If thats is the reason I have to agree with him.

I thought that writing to the flash required kernal access?

This really is fantastic news. No more GTA or patched GTA to deal with, good riddance.

Good work Fanjita and Ditlew. You guys never cease to amaze.

I very much doubt you can brick as it doesn't have kernal access.

It is VSH mode aka user mode with flash access.It is used for updates and it's very hard to write to flash from this mode because it needs the firmware syscalls.

Since I am a 2.0 user, does this work for 2.0 better than the 0.97 super bock TIFF eloader? Or is this new one better?
