Default Winamp / Internet Radio Streaming via PSP ?

To make that sure: This is a request - i donīt have any solution for it :hand:

.. but i thought about what the psp could be used for in future. On saturday it was the music player for a whole party filled with lots and lots of mp3īs and firmly attached to a wall. The psp was of course connected to an amp (output of psp maximized).

So - this little fellow showed very useful .. how about some more? What i would really like to see would be a streaming tool like winamp using shoutcast streams from the internet.

I donīt know how far you homebrew programmers are with handling the wireless lan abilities of the psp, but would it be possible to have a winamp on psp streaming an internet broadcast? like sitting in the garden and listening to internet radio via psp?

what would be even better is a portable media center program (similar to those wireless music players that play music from your computer through a stereo). It'd be great to stream music from your computer to your PSP and have your entire music collection available throughout your home, yard, etc. Maybe even streaming video... wish i had the willpower to do it

Media Center PSP will probably support shoutcast streams at some point, but you will most likely never see streaming video on the PSP. It eats way too much bandwith and requires too much processor speed to work properly.

I think the bandwidth abilities could handle video streaming (comparing the download speed of the wipeout packages with their respective filesize), but it would be poor quality, lower than what we have with memory sticks right now (i encode with VBR 576, max 1000 and there are visible artifacts with this rate). A performance problem should be wiped away with the day the dev.teams have full access to the pspīs chipsets.

Video isnīt that important for me (itīs nice on a booring trip though), but having a portable media center for audio would be perfect Nevertheless: i would like it more to stream from internet, than to connect to "all my mp3" - gee - iīve so many owned cdīs converted to mp3 that i could play for weeks constantly .. but there are a few favourites and those fit on my second stick

does anyone know if there is a wall support or attachement for the psp? mine was a bit "self-made"
