hi, is there any app in the works that will play mpegs? Ive found a AVI player but it doesnt give any sound. is there an app that converts to MP4

just use psp video 9 to convert your movies - it's the easiest program to use for quick conversions:

there is one or two other programs that can give you higher quality conversions (i don't remember their names, sorry), but psp video 9 is a real no brainer and works fine for me - plus it's free!
