Okay here we go. I have a 2.6 psp running the new tiff eloader(Porter 0.9.8). I have a lot of homebrew and what not.
I tried to get gPSP 0.7 to work on my PSP and it wont work. I have the BIOS(16kb), I read the "readme" several times quite thouroughly(sp?) and I still cannot manage to get it to load.
What happens is that the eboot seems that it will load up, but hangs at a screen that says eloader then crashes. I decided to search the forums and see if there was any solution to this. None for me. I did see someone named romulator who did get it to work but he needed a BIOS which I have. His post is a few posts below mine at the time of this writing. I tried other forums and got no solution, google, the alt version, the 1.5 and 1.0 versions, and i even downloaded a full version that was already setup by someone over on PSPhacks, but to no prevail.
Tried setting the CPU at different speeds while booting it, tried formating the memstick, I even tried reinstalling it several times, but I cant get it to even boot up. The files are all in the right place, they are actually all in the same folder.
I have some roms on my psp waiting to be played, but just cant get the emulator to load. PSPVBA wont even load. I tried all of the verisions for PSPVBA and gPSP but I just cant get it to work. If you have eloader 0.9.8 and got it to work can you please help and tell me how you got it to work. Thank You.
