Default Question about Kernal Access..

0okm recently released the source for enabling kernal access on 2.5/2.6 PSPs. Yes I saw the thread.

Is it possible, now with kernal access and all, to flash a 2.6 firmware to a different, custom firmware, with all the abilities of a 1.5 PSP?

I know it would be tough to code, but i think it could be possible...with the help of some dedicated coders

So you mean like a custom firmware for 2.6?

We already have had flash0 and kernel access on 2.5/2.6 for quite a while now, this is just via TIFF, not GTA.

And no, you can't have a custom firmware on 2.6.

Well I'm sure anyone with half a brain could figure out that you coulden't use any current custom firmwares with 2.60, but could one be made specificly for it?

Not hard, it's called user-mode. Most homebrews since a while back have also been sporting the 1.0 eboot just for those on 2.0+ .
