I find a web site post 2.80 downgrader, is it work?

I would advise all people to wait before trying this. Chances are it will do nothing, but there is a chance that it will brick some psp's. Just wait till a reputable site like pspupdates reports it as working.

the last line in the readme says this
"It should start the 2.00 update in theory."
sounds like it hasnt even been tested by the person who made it so it probably doesnt work

This is what it says in the readme

"this is beta downgrader for 2.01-2.8. this will send you to 2.00. you must have a umd that makes you update to 2.00. the most common one is Grand theft auto: liberty city stories. Do not change these files. these files appear to be fileassistant but are not. these files are actually the downgrader. It can work on ta-082 but this is theoretical. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR BRICKS! If it works PM me or email me at *****@gmail.com playstation.com boards *****. If it doesn't work tell me also. I will try to fix it.put it in the PSP/photo/ folder of your psp. then insert the UMD such as GTA into your psp and leave it in. turn on your psp BUT DO NOT TAKE THE UMD OUT. WAIT UNTIL IT STARTS AND PRESS HOME BUTTON TO GO TO MENU. Then go to the psp/photo folder of your psp. go to the fileassistant folder, and press START. It should start the 2.00 update in theory."

Also there are 3 files in the .rar

maybe an idea for mods to delete the url before people brick themselves again before it's been tried by someone with a chip?

Nobodys really sure if its "legit" yet, thats why its best to wait to hear if it works from a reliable source.

It would be funny if you briked one then the next day a 2.80 downgrader came out. hahahah. That kinda happened with my 2.71. I upgraded to 2.80 then the next day the downgrader came out. Would be soooo funny if it happened!

It doesn't work, lol it says it works on TA-082 Mobos. That Mod from there is stupid.

Theres no kernel on 2.8 so it just crashed thats it. Its impossible to brick a 2.8 unless you turn off your psp when updating to 2.81.
