This Is the 1st time I seen this about how to tell TA-082 I seen the how to tell about the firmwire not the motherboard.

If there was shouldnt it be made into a sticky, like the one on how to tell firmwire. Can you give us a link to that one then?

I don't think this correct. I bought a japanese PSP from Lik-Sang. It says WS259 on the box but the PSP has a TA-082 inside! (The part about the "I" indicating firmware v2.6 is correct though)

my box says WS259 H and it was a non-082 2.5..
i think only the letter part is true guys :P
