OK, I have been away from these forums and from checking whats happening on PSP scene for a while now, and it seems I have missed a lot!
However, I can't make sense of the hundreds of posts in each category of the forums, so I wanted to make a thread where the information can be clearly answered for me. Please, if I have missed an obvious sticky with all of what I ask, link me, don't flame me.
OK, now to the questions:
1 - The new eloader version 0.99, it has "kernel mode" compatibility, can it run most or all homebrew now without problems? (I think this is a no, but how much can it run compared to 1.5?)
2 - In 2.7x, to play homebrew, do you run eloader through GTA, or do you run homebrew from a new TIFF exploit? (I think they are two seperate ways of running, am I right?)
3 - If the answer to the above is that the TIFF and GTA are two seperate ways of running, which is better, ie more compatible?
4 - I have seen a huge volume of posts about DevHook on 2.71. I cannot get clear answers (what it says on one post, is denied on others etc). Can DevHook be run on 2.71, and used to emulate 1.5?
5 - If the answer to above is yes, does the emulated 1.5 work fully, ie it has full compatibility with all the homebrew that is "1.5 only"? Do you need to do anything special (I've seen a load of posts about corrupt icons and renaming kxploited folders) to the homebrew to run it?
6 - Is there a quick list of what I would need, in order to do 2.7x DevHook emulating 1.5?
7 - What is the likelihood of bricking on ALL situations above?
8 - I am on 2.6 right now, so is it a good idea to upgrade to 2.7x, if it can basically do it all?
9 - I believe that there is a downgrader for 2.7x, is it just the same as the 2.6 one?
Thanks for answering and not flaming!
