To awnser Mitch's question, I don't think there are any, but you can get PSP Vidieo 9 (I think that is the latest version) which can convert avi's to mp4's.

Well 1.50 can't play videos encoded with the H.264/AVC codec, but you can encode them with just the regular MPEG4 codec and it will work fine on 1.50. You can also devhook 2.71 to use the other codec.

PSPlayerMT rejects the video if it not formated to the psp's resolution so you still need to format video for it.

As the people above has already sated, PSPlayerMT will play most video and audio files. It wont play files above the PSP's native resolution, and some files wont play for unknown reasons. If it is a DVD Rip, or a pirated movie, chances are it wont play in PSPLayerMT.

You can transcode the video to a psp native format, or to a .pmp file to be played in PMPMod.

You can also play a AVC formated video in devhook.
