This is the safest downgrader for 2.71...how you may ask, well its the same one that dark alex create...so how is it any differant? many downgraders you may brick your psp on, same with this one, but say while your downgrading you bricked your psp, turn your psp off, and back on and quickly put the hold feature on, taking you into a recovery mode, where you can upgrade back to 2.0 which from there downgrade to 1.5, this was made easy by Harleyg's revocery.elf mod
But like any downgrader, use at your own risk due to human errors you may make (ignore the file name "TA-082 downgrader") Downdater: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=GIN0DDWP Recovery.elf: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3JBD7VUG Enjoy Made by yoyomacy and gamelordomega

<partial sarcasm>Well even if you posted a 2.8 downgrader i would trust you with the rep you have</partial sarcasm>. But since ive never had a PSP while any of the 2.71 downgraders were out I dont quiet understand DA's method of downgrading through the use of his new HEN C method, nor do I know too much about HENC cause i never bothered since ive had 1.5 for about 3 months now...anyway this is pretty cool if you say it will work as it should

You can't recover from a brick that occurs from updating.

the new by d_a is safer, and easier
adding the cfw features may make it more likey to brick during downgrade also

(the one that needs hen c) this downgrader here uses the unstable downgrader by d_a, (whichs works, but theres a more likely chance of bricking, randomly)

The recovery itself HAS been tested and proven to work, but we haven't tried it on a TA-082 yet. If you get bricked and have the recovery elf installed, then you turn on your PSP with 'hold' on, and it will get you to a blue menu. From there you can enable USB and put the update for 2.0 inside, and from the blue menu you can update to 2.0 and re-downgrade to 1.5 to start with a clean slate. |

Nice idea, however I would have to agree with Sousanator that Dark Alex's HenC Downgrader that uses official sony fw updates is safer than this. Freeplay bricked his PSP using the bugfixed 2.71 tif downgrader. The new HenC downgrader should be just as safe as a Sony fw update assuming you follow the directions correctly.

Dark_Alexs Generic downdater is the safest BY FAR. I recommend if you are thinking about downgrading your PSP is to use his program. It uses the offical Sony update. Heck it may be even safer than a Sony Update considering it copies all the files to the RAM before it flashes, thus making it safe to take your memory stick out(although I would HIGHLY recommend NOT trying that
)
