At the moment, there is only installer for 1.50, although it could be easily ported to whatever firmware with kernel access such as 2.60 and 2.71, but at the moment i prefer not to doing it to avoid TA-082 using it and bricking their psp's.

Note that this package DOES NOT contain any illegal material. The user has to provide the 1.50 and 2.71 updaters pbp's to legally generate the DXAR file used for the flashing.

- The game menu says that "There is no games". Probably you renamed your game folder to game150, but you didn't
create a new game folder. Even if you don't plan to use 2.71 homebrew, the folder GAME must exist, even if

Wow, it takes forever to extract the 2.71 stuff. I'm still at the step where it extracts the files from the eboot.

And KXploit does work.

This is Extremely good news, but what about playing my legit backed up games from my MS now? cos it says in the readme that devhook can't function in 2.71 because it is emulating 2.71 aswell, or sumthing like that, it was just confusing to me but could someone help me here before i flash the custom firmware

This file, at release SE-A, should have ALWAYS the MD5 8E59FAAA97F526F8EC723D1B7 7700C2B
and SHA-1 15151DA906DAE508AABC668CA 2FC65D9B541F02B
do i have to check something?

Oh Lord, I got freaked out for a minute.

I started flashing the files, and when writing 2.71 it froze at 10% for like, 5 seconds. I thought it bricked or something, but after a few seconds it started going again.

Run the DATA.DXAR file through a MD5/SHA-1 checker and it should give you those exact numbers (do a search on some shareware/freeware sites).

It worked!

I just got rebooted back to the 2.71 XMb. Under the system info for the firmware number it says "2.71 SE-A".

I had custom firmware installed and SE installed just fine.

But for some reason I still get corrupt icons and I have the config file set to hide corrupt icons.

i had 22mb of mem left when i started the update maker and its been extracting the 2.71 stuff for over 5 mins now.... maybe im out of space, maybe its really slow... f**k no's

If the MD5 sum is the same as the one in the readme, you're good to go
