Can 2.71 custom firmware be used in devhook without upgrading. This would be a great feature for autobooting, but not worth upgrading just yet

To Teh_King: uh, yeah, that is why dh emulates what would be in the flash on the firmware you emulate

I would think it may not work though, but maybe it would if you changed some things, not sure.

Why not just update to 2.71SE? As long as you follow the directions its just as safe as a normal fw update. And you can always go back to 1.5 if you dont like it (i doubt).

Not necessarily. Were not to supposed to downgrade, but it doesn't automatically brick or PSP. Also, we aren't supposed to mod our PSP's, but it doesn't brick automatically.

And I'm talking in Sony's eyes

First of all, thats almost completely untrue. Second of all, running firmware in Devhook does not concern the flash.
