I'm currently on v2.6 I've only played SNES games using the GTA eLoader. I wanted to play the new gpSP emulator, but I don't think it runs on v2.6 what's the best way to upgrade and which eLoader should I use so I don't have to be using GTA game all the time.

well if you dont have a t-082 board then I would just downgrade.

I don't really want to downgrade, since there's no internet brownser and no picture sharing, also most of the games aren't compartible. I'm happy the way my SNES emulator works it's the only one that I've tried, but now I wanna make it work without the GTA eLoader and I wanna run the gsPS emulator on my PSP. I want to keep it simple.

Downgrade to 1.5 then upgrade to 2.71 SE.

2.71 SE is a custom firware for 2.71. It allowes you to use all 1.5 applications and games on 2.71.

You need 2.71 SE, 2.71 or 1.5 to run Devhook.

Devhook allowes you to run higher firmwares on 1.5, up to 2.71, including playing games that require that firmware. You can return to 1.5 again buy turning the psp off, and then back on(or press home+start if you have that mod)

I don't think I can downgrade, since I got that motherboard that won't let you upgrade and I think you need to downgrade to 1.5 first in order to upgrade to 2.71

Open your UMD tray. now put it under soe=me good light and check the top right hand corner of the green section. If there is text then you can't downgrade past 2.5.

I still use my GTA eLoader lol. I got so used to it. I don't like modifing my PSP so much, since some stuff can't be run on other versions. I can just upgrade 2.71SE directly from 2.6 right?

IF you want it Bricked you can.

Basically you should upgrade to 2.71 then use the homebrew enableer from dark alex.

I have that motherboard that doesn't let you downgrade so I can't donwgrade to 1.5 Do you have the link to the homebrew you're talking about?

Are you people even reading the posts of the person you are trying to help?
He has said multiple times now, he has a TA-082 motherboard.

I recommend upgrading to 2.71, the regular 2.71, and run homebrew through the new tiff eloader.(meaning you only need to navigate to the photo menu on the XMB) Then you dont have to load up gta every time you want to run homebrew software.

You can also use the homebrew enabler. The enables tou to run a few homebrew application through the regular game menu on 2.71.(more are currently being developed to use this method)

You can also then use a 2.71 version of devhook to emulate 1.5 on 2.71, letting you run the few application that are incompatible with the eloader.
