Ok so I have devhook, and custom firmware to boot it up. So one day I was playing snes and it had a low battery so I turned it off and decided to charge it.
When I turned it back on and it appeared like it was in devhook, but the wifi switch was up (I have HarleyG's CF) and It didn't have any ms flashing like it usually does when I boot into devhook, and not only that but it said I was in 2.5 firmware, when I have 2.71 firmware! I tried to take out the ms and turn it on but it still booted into dh 2.71 but it went into the blue screen to restore default settings, and when I use home + start (the exit mod i installed) it still doesn't work! It's like my psp got switched... My question is if anyone knows whats going on, or if they have a link to that return to 1.5 eboot so I can try it. Also I have no corrupted folders, and all my dh folders are intact. Whats gouin on here!!?

Mess around with wifi switch.

Or you might of flashed the firmware with the devhook flash menu.

I switch it up and down and it still doesn't work, and I hardly use the devhook menu at all... plus I don't have any 2.5 files to flash...

Just tried the escape devhook eboot, didn't work. I'm startin to get scared here... Should I try to downgrade?

Take out your mem stick then try.

I did, it went to the blue screen with all the languages and told me to restore default settings.

Well all it did was restore default settings. I cut and pasted the dh folder to to my computer but my psp still booted up in 2.5 devhook....

this is.... odd.......

so take your mem stick competly out, take your batery out, put your battery back in and turn your PSP on and see if it still does it, without the mem stick in.

put your MS into the computer, edit the system.txt to get rid of devhook starting up with that button.

Just use recovery mode to boot up 1.5

if it still boots up to 2.50 with no MS even in it, that wont solve anything.

I know, weird... I took devboot out of the system folder and edited the config to not load devhook. no dice. I can't boot into safe mode because when I flip the switch down, all it does is continue to go into 2.5, and I took the battery out for like 3 minutes and it STILL didn't work.
I don't understand, it couldn't of magically flashed itself, and if anybody updated my psp it would be in 2.8 right? Weird.

yeah the first time i only took the battery out, but the second time I took out the battery and the memory stick, still went into 2.5.

damn thats really weird, but i really mean, really weird, if nothing work, but how does he have 2.5 if he doesnt have the files, maybe a modification like the one that do X-flash ( change the firmware number to X.XX)

I know, it's insanely weird. I only messed around with x-flash like twice before but all I did was customize the fonts... no firmware number changing.

that happened to me...all you have to do is reinstall devhook because something got corrupted and thats the only way out..and for some reason you cant boot back to norm

I completely reinstalled it and it still didn't work. I'm so confused on how this could've came about. Oh, and how do I dump my firmware? X-flash, right? But how would I go about using it if I'm still stuck in the 2.5 xmb?
