This is for all those coders that want to get in making Homebrew and don't know what to start with, or those experienced coders that are looking for new ideas. Hopefully we can get this thread started as a launching ground for games recommended by the people who play them.
Here are a few ideas I came up with-
1) Mastermind (Difficulty-* out of *****)
You remember the board game Mastermind? If not, all it is is trying to figure out a 4 color sequence in 20 tries or less. Seems fairly easy to write a random AI script for the "mastermind" and easy animations and graphics (just a board and colored dots)
2) Battleship (Difficulty maybe *** of *****)
Just a port of the classic Battleship game. For optimal coolness, make a port of the "Car Bomb" minigame from Sam and Max.
3) Generic Overhead Racing Game (Difficulty ***/**** of *****)
Aiming for something like "Rock n Roll Racing" except without the isometric view, just straight overhead. Would seemingly be best controlled with the thumbstick, and selectable tracks would be great.
I actually have many, many more ideas, I'm just seeing if anyone gets any sort of use out of these first. If so, I'll keep posting them up. I also encourage anyone who has ideas to put them up if you want.
