Is that possible to get firmware dumps from an SE-B psp and emulate it from devhook so that the people who have a TA-082 psp can use it? I dont really know much about this stuff but I just want to know if it is possible??

I'm pretty sure that if you run SE-B under devhook it'll brick your PSP, or that's what some people have said.

I dont think you can emulate 2.71 SE's with devhook.

Unless you try to _install_ 2.71SE in Devhook I can't think of any reason why it would brick, since under normal conditions you don't write to the flash. I might be wrong though since I haven't tried it myself, but I don't see any issues with it.

That being said, I think Devhook would have to have an option there to load 2.71SE since it's not the same as either 1.50 or 2.71, meaning you can't just dump the firmware files into your 150 or 271 directory. So whilst I don't see why it wouldn't be possible, Devhook would have to be made to support it.

You can't install it into devhook, there's no update eboot. And if you got the dump from somebody, then it will brick, as said above.

ahh, young-uns, let me put this in terms you might understand:

Devhook = Apple
2.71 SE = Orange

Apple + Orange = Bad

therefore:

Devhook + 2.71 SE = Bad

Meaning:

Devhook will not work with 2.71 SE Emulated because: the SE uses a 1.5 kernel core with modified 2.71 files, therefore not all the calls are correct and it will not work in devhook.

AND....the 2.71 SE does install to flash.

Yes you can emulate it on DevHook, go and do it right now.

An apple is a firmware? O rly?

SE-B is basically deisgned to make devhook pointless, if you have to run it in the first place it's faster to select your game in it.
