PSP Game "TNT Dude" Now running on Mac OS X
homebrew mini This homebrew is now based on the "homebrew mini library" that I developed for making homebrew easer to develope This is the first stage on enhancing TNT Dude. I am working with coolguy5678 on this project to improve on it. He has rewritten most of the source code to make this possible and I have just spent 5 min porting it over due to the greate job he has done with sorting it out. So now with a good solid source code a lot can be done with this game now.

Use Stuffit Expander, winrar and winzip shouldn't be used, use the industry standered and you will be ok, Stuffit Expander support a wide range of compression formats so has everythink you ever need for compressed files

That was quick... By the way, the extra maps do load, except you must keep the TNTDUDE folder and the maps folder inside it. The maps stay in there. You can delete the old loadbinary.tiff and tntdude.bin .
Xart, you should probably change it to load the maps from "TNT Dude/MAPS" instead of "TNTDUDE/MAPS". Just change the two string literals in the loadAllMaps function and change the 68 to 69. It works when I open with StuffIt. SI is nice, but when I installed it I forgot to stop it from creating a file-type association with bin files, so now it thinks all bin files are some strange type of archive . I've manually changed it to open in a hex editor, but I'd much rather have no file-type association at all. And all the nag screens are annoying.

Hope to have a little more done before I send you the source code back to you with the mods. I forget that window users can only do one association for a file type, we mac users have allways been able to have multiplepen association for a file type, very usfull in website design with html files opening in with diferant browsers. I have no controll over the accociation for there software but have to use sit as it produces smaller files and need every last byte I can get out the server

Another thing, the screenshot function doesn't work. Probably a good thing though, because the note key is useful for muting the sound if it gets annoying.
I can always right-click a file and open it with a different application with "Open With..." I really wanted to just remove the file association completely, so it shows up as an unknown file. I googled and it turns out I missed a big "Delete" button .

They is a few things to sort out as porting it over to mini.h from gfx.h, they will be some unsupported bits, I am working on a background screen capture that will save a screen shot at any location in the homebrew, it will be bmp, thought about tga and desided stick with bmp as every one will be use to them

Good work, xart, you're breaking new ground with homebrew and the PSP as far as Mac users are concerned.

Yes, don't make fun, it is not his fault for using a tinker toy
just kiding, couln't resist it, I work as a PC tecky, fixing IBM Compatible PCs and know that these PCs are built with all kinds of third party parts and that is why the industry niknames them tinker toys, you spend all your time tinkering around them to keep them working, big grownups toy. Sun's PCs, Apple's PCs are regarded as real PCs Just like to point out that you sed 14 years, Mac OS X is only about 5 years old, your talking about OS 9, totaly diferant platform, That Mac is long dead. But your right about the speed macs become old, We move fast, Microsoft moves, slowwww, or do they move at all I wonder, moving backwards dosn't count, so that rules out vista -= Double Post =- By the way I have added sme graphics to TNT, it is on site for download, never seen it run on a PSP my self but looks good on Mac OS X It is only a preview it is not for playing as it dose have speed issues

Just follow the link on the first page of the thread.
By the way, this new preview version loads maps from TNT Dude/maps, so you can put the maps in there. EDIT: By the way, if you want some extra speed, look in the main function. The doStuff function is only called every (I think) 6 frames, whereas the screen is redrawn every (I think) frame. (I haven't got the source on this computer so I'm not sure exactly how often the functions are called.) By decreasing the number of frames between each doStuff call, you should be able to speed up the game. You'll have to play around with the numbers to get a good speed. Please not that is not up to stanndered for playing on as it dose suffer from slowness, next one will sort this out, first had to get the basic graphics in place, also be posting the source code for the next one.
source code remains prity much the same, just with few bits of code added neatly for graphics & sound -= Double Post =- TNT Dude 1.3.1 will be release soon with source code, source code url address will be pm to the developer only. -= Double Post =- I might be upgrading to 2.81 to play the latest games myself, like a lot of users will be, lukly I don't use a PSP for homebrew, all my homebrew is actualy written for Mac OS X & PSP so works on both platform, what it will mean is that I can still develope homebrew for the PSP if I do deside to upgrade, so I will not leave homebrew if I have to upgrade. It was one of the main goal of TIFFSDK for Xcode, to deal with the "just in case" event. what would be handy in knowing if swaping UMD dose work, and if it works for 2.80 if it is true, it is allways nice to be able to see my work on a PSP to see how it looks.

Thanks, just whanted to confirm that it works, was desiding to buy another PSP a white one so I have a black for dev and white for gaming, but if swap dose work I will save money.
handy to have a PSP that can play homebrew for making sure the homebrew that I dev dose work on a PSP. Do you have a 2.81 or 2.82 game that actualy works on 2.80 firmware

I got spiderman 2 free, including case, had to simply register online my psp and got sent the spiderman2 umd film in it's propper case, I bet a lot of UK users bought the PSP and didn't relize if they register it online they get a free spiderman2 movie, whasn't written on the box or told on buying it you just had to know about it, a hidden extra
and the shop i bought it at were offering spiderman2 movie for a reduce price on buying the PSP when you actualy get it free if you just register the thing online.

Putting TNT on hold for a while, putting more into frogger to get things moving, not only do I have to doup TNT a bit but also have the source code up to scratch as it now uses homebrew mini library of functions and needs to be clear what functions do what so the developer of TNT can understand and follow it.
